In the time of Jesus there were expectations with up to three different Messiahs - a priestly figure, a kingly figure and a prophetic figure...

What about prophecy about Messiah being "despised" (Isaiah 1:4) and "cut off" (Daniel 9:26)?
Isaiah 1:4?

Woe to a sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, evildoing seed, corrupt children. They forsook the Lord; they provoked the Holy One of Israel; they drew backwards.


Daniel 9:26 is talking about another anointed king.
