I don't believe in prophecy, and last I checked, Paul wasn't a prophet.

Besides, a quick skim of that letter doesn't paint things as they are now relative to the way things used to be: that's how things have always been. Those bad things aren't even as common as many people seem to think.

The great majority of humans have rejected God's laws and principles...
For which we should be heartily thankful. God's laws and principles as recorded in the Old Testament turn the (admittedly mythologised) history of that era into a bloodbath, and harmless activities like weekend work into capital offences.

Some suggested reading for you: The Better Angels of Our Nature, by Steven Pinker. An eye-opener for those who think we're living in depraved times.

Honestly, I don't think things are better or worse than they've ever been. Over the years, much has been lost and gained over time, and that's how things will continue to be.
