Tough folks. Protesting reasonable health regulations because they don't want to get a shot.
They're free to be unvaccinated; it just limits their career options.

For the truckers (just to go along with the cover story for this whole thing), there's a trucker shortage generally. Any trucker who doesn't want to get vaccinated would have no trouble getting a job doing domestic routes.

When they oppose free travel of other people,
they've become commies (in the poetic sense).

And if it were a group on the left doing it, it would be utterly evil (Portland). But when right wing bro's do it, then it's totally wonderful and laudable.

(and to maybe avoid a bit of whataboutism, yes it can happen on the left as well but from what I've seen it's far from 50-50.)

Canadians have big cahonies. They don't need Trump.

This is as good when they parked their trucks on the scales in the GTA and left them sitting there. Priceless.

America used to be that way. I envy and praise the Canucks for standing up for freedoms. They earned the Rubber Duck trophy for the year.

And are you equally in favor when the left does it? I didn't think so. It's different then, of course.

Those goofy Canuckistanians....always be tell'n
us how much better they are than Ameristanians.
Now their true colors are being shown, ie, they
have loopy extremists too.

This is fun, but seriously....stay safe.
Wear that mask. Get vaccinated.
Avoid disease ridden humans.
Live long & prosper.

For the Ambassador Bridge protest, the City of Windsor and auto industry groups have applied for an injunction to get rid of the protestors:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/ambassador-bridge-blocked-protest-fourth-day-1.6346185

Apparently, the RCMP have been building up strength in Windsor to get ready for... something. OPP are already on scene.

Meanwhile, protestors have been blocking the 402 (which connects to the Blue Water Bridge between Sarnia & Port Huron), and apparently there's a new border blockage in Manitoba.

The thread's title is for @Wirey, @Evangelicalhumanist,
& all my other frozen friends of the fridged north.

Have Canuckistanians turned in to MAGAs?

Canada rally against vaccine mandates blocks Ottawa as Trump praises protest
Excerped....
OTTAWA (Reuters) - Dozens of trucks and other vehicles blocked the downtown area of Ottawa for a second day after thousands descended on Canada's capital city on Saturday to protest against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Trucks remained parked on the streets near parliament on Sunday, a day before lawmakers are due to resume work after the holiday break. Hundreds of protesters were out on Sunday, too. Some truckers said they will not leave until the mandate is overturned.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking at a rally in Texas on Saturday, praised the Canadian protesters for "resisting bravely these lawless mandates", in a sign the politicization of the pandemic seen mostly south of the border has spread north.

In solidarity with the Ottawa rally, truckers and protesters have blocked a Canada-U.S. border crossing in southern Alberta, police said on Twitter.

In Ottawa, thousands gathered peacefully on Saturday and there were no arrests, though several incidents are now being investigated by police.
I think it's great! Go, truckers, get your country back!

I agree....truckers who want to work should push
those protesters off of the roads they're clogging.
It was wrong when BLM did it.
It's wrong when truckers do it.

A Cat D11 would clear those trucks ASAP.

I haven't seen any protestors blocking road's but if so, BLM set the precedent, so it's a little late to take it back now.
