Thousands of churches are closing across the U.S.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Ironic I think, it being in a forest like that (or at least whatbalpears to be from that image), because he's clearly lost sight and can't see the forest for the trees of he thinks a building makes a church.
I think he just did it for the world record for the smallest building.

If I passed it, I'd first think it was a private mausoleum built for the purpose of Interment.

It's what it looks like to me. Heh.

I am considering the Catholic church. It is odd but all the hate toward Catholicism from the Protestant church makes me wonder if I should not have taken a second look at the Catholic church, why would they be persecuted by Protestants if they didn't have some truths there?
It was one of the reasons why I left my Protestant church and converted to Catholicism. In 60 years of attending mass, I have never heard a priest or deacon condemn other churches or religions.

I can't remember if it is true or just a claim. But even non-believers can in some cases get to Heaven as per Catholicism.

They also believe in purgatory right? So some nonbelievers make it to purgatory to work their way into heaven is what I understood from one of the priests to say 15 years ago when I visited Mass. I also had an experience with purgatory which made me believe in purgatory.

Yes, and it is what can be called a "theological construct", thus not found word for word in the scriptures.

Compared to other religions and denomination the Catholic church is liberal. It took them some centuries and they still have a long way to go but one can't expect such a behemoth to move swiftly. Most importantly, their divorce from political power has made them rather peaceful and tolerant.
I can imagine a female pope decreeing to dispense condoms in AIDS riddled locations in a few decades.

Jesus in me
" Thousands of churches are closing across the U.S. "

Since Second Coming has already taken place, in the form of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908, haven't the churches lost and or served their purpose, please?
Right?

Really, so that man fought a big battle in the plains of Ha Megiddo? Otherwise he is just another false prophet. Christians are smart enough to recognize false prophets and so we keep doing what Jesus commanded us to do: Teach the Gospel.

We sure don't allow J.W. in China.

And for very good reason.

Yes, China only allows “patriotic religious associations.”

As a worldwide brotherhood, we don’t support one nation over others. That’s divisive.

What’s the very good reason, do you think?

If everyone in the world were worshippers of Jehovah, ie., Jehovah’s Witnesses, there’d be no more conflict or war.

One and very sufficient reason is the
ignorant regressive anti intellectual
anti science teachings. Irrational and absurd
cult.

Our civilization goes back to before your
ancestors had gotten skilled poking
at cave bears with sharp sticks.

Yet another new edition of your weird and rather creepy
sky god religion has no place here.

There are lots of things that " if everyone
were" would make for an ideal world.
JW is not one of them.

Conceivably you are correct about " no war".
Same with many other conceivable conditions.

Won't ever happen tho, or, as they (i)
would put it, " if wishes were fishes,
We'd all eat pie".

I'd take " all Buddhist monks" 10,000 times
over JW.

There has never been a time in the history of Christianty when there weren't Christians pointing to something or other as a sign that we're "in the last days."

It's become a joke. A 2000-year-old tired joke.
So because it hasn’t happened yet, means it will not at some point take place? I don’t think so. I am sure you won’t think it’s a joke when the last day occurs.

…But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:7-9
