Since Second Coming has already taken place, in the form of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908, haven't the churches lost and or served their purpose, please?
Right?

Regards
There have been a number of claimants to the second coming,
. However none have had a significant impact on Christianity.

The falloff of religious belief is universal, though uneven. It is greatest in older first worl d countries.
To a large extent faith requires a suspension of reason. One is the antithesis of the other.

It may be alarming, but not surprising if one reads the Bible. It’s a major indicator we are in the last days close to the removal of the church composed of born again believers in Christ, before the tribulation period and the return of Jesus Christ to judge the earth. According to the scriptures, apostasy and people falling away from faith is foretold to occur first.
There has never been a time in the history of Christianty when there weren't Christians pointing to something or other as a sign that we're "in the last days."

It's become a joke. A 2000-year-old tired joke.

Alarming? You are just slowly converging to what has happened in Europe, already.
Nothing negative really happened.

Soon, those churches will occupy the same cultural place taken by Athena’s temples, and such.

I don't get one exactly, have these churches been purchased and converted as Athena's temples, please?

I believe they're referring to Christians having erected their churches and monasteries on what had been pagan holy sites and temples. Over the ages, the cultural importance those pagan sites had to the populace waned and is now largely forgotten by most. And that the same will eventually happen to Christianity as its churches are replaced by something else.

But again, that's just what I'm inferring.

It's been a day so I'll answer for you;
She means churches will become culturally insignificant like temples to Athena are today.

We have a culture now that doesn't care to attend church. I mean, even people who claim to be Christian do not regularly attend church anymore.

The only exceptions to the rule seem to be the catholic church and pentecostal churches. they are growing.
I am considering the Catholic church. It is odd but all the hate toward Catholicism from the Protestant church makes me wonder if I should not have taken a second look at the Catholic church, why would they be persecuted by Protestants if they didn't have some truths there?

I don't know in what other states this is happening in, but Florida allows churches to have services in schools, and most do. They tend to be conservative Protestant churches, as the mainline denoms and Catholics have their own buildings.

I like them. There are conservative and mainstream ones, so something for most folks.

By that same token Protestants have some truth because they've gotten lots of hate from Catholics.
It's not over any truths, but dumb sectarian hostilities that still haven't entirely died out.
