To All You Sanders Supporters......It's Over

Sanders may have won a couple of states but the handwriting is on the wall. Hillary is the Democrats choice for the presidency. Let's see if she can lie her way back to having independents support her. Wonder if she looks good in an orange jumpsuit Note: and I don't mean pantsuit
Hillary delegates 965 Sanders 317 needed to win 2383

Note for you Fox non-believers the data is from the AP

What's Hillary going to jail for? I don't recall anything that's close to illegal that's on the block right now. Not that I'm one to defend her.

Just to point out the obvious: if anything is "over",it certainly isn't Bernie Sanders' impact on US politics.

If nothing else, he did a lot already to remove the taboo against the word "Socialist". I expect that to stick and grow in the next few years, as the need for less inequality becomes increasingly self-evident.

Bernie did better than expected. He's proven that he can do well in liberal states; just wait for the West coast primaries and then speak.

If Sanders is defeated, the Progressive Movement is not.

I don't know what he's gloating for, Trump isn't going to beat Clinton and Rubio and Cruz don't look like they will beat Trump, so...
Looks like we're going to have another Clinton in the White House.

And a War Criminal. She's still one of those, isn't she?

Defeatism is not in my nature.
It's not as if Bernie has no chance and it's just a waste of his time, I also don't want to be forced to choose between Hillary and Trump.

Another note: his entire campaign has been an uphill battle and if you watch from the start it's hard to deny the amazing progress.
He's not likely to throw in the towel cause the big bad corporate favorite kicked his *** in a few states...

It's not entirely over. Upcoming states look favourable. Winning four states last night isn't a disaster, far from it, he can still build momentum.

Gloating fits you, Esmith.
No, just being realistic. Sanders never had a chance, the Democratic party elite was going to make sure of that. In addition, Hillary has tons of baggage that Sanders did not exploit or didn't want to for some reason. It really didn't cost him anything to run and he got to fortify the socialist views that was originally seeded in children at our institutions of higher learning. :p

I will remember this when the general election occurs.

It will be extremely difficult for Sanders to dig himself out of his delegate deficit now, although it's possible that he might. As you point out, upcoming states look favorable. Whatever the outcome, and regardless of the odds, Sanders has at least one advantage: He's on the right side of history. Even if he looses, the Progressive Movement will continue on and grow.

Even if he'd won a majority of states, it doesn't appear the DNC would allow him to run.
Oh, well....it was fun while it lasted.
Would he run on another ticket?
I'd like that for several reasons.....
- It would give his fans someone to vote for (rather than against).
- It would p*** of Hil & Bill.
- It would make it easier for the lesser of 3 evils to win.

What? Me worry?

That and a dollar will get you a soda out of most machines. I think Esmith was right: Bernie as a Demo was dead in the water before he even left the dock.

Even if you and Esmith are correct, Sanders taps into something bigger than him. The crowds who've turned out for him undeniably show that. In a way, he might be a bit like Reagan, who lost his first presidential bid only to come back and win a few years later. If he looses this time, Sanders -- or his successor -- will find it easier the next time. The Progressive Movement is not going away.
