Their paralels of Jesus with buddha and Horus didn´t seem reasonable when I searched about them.

They said buddha and Horus came from virgin mothers, as far as I know that ain´t true AT ALL. (I mean, okay, a golden penis should pretty much be more of a dildo than an actual "you are pregnate" tool, but quite honestly it is simbolicaly and supernaturaly VERY different to say Horus was son of both his mommy and daddy god via sex with a golden penis than Jesus being son of Gog-god with a "holy spirit-grace you are pregnate" to a mortal woman)

I have a question for any Jesus Myth theorists in here:

When and how do you believe Christianity (in any form) first arose?

Nope, you're still wrong
So, it's not really, then? It's not an ad hom to say that a religion got some outside influence from nearby cultures.

There's a good book about the Hellenistic cultural milieu from out which christianity evolved, 'Hellenistic religion' by Luther Martin. He suggests that the underlying theme which links together the hellenistic traditions such as orphism and mithraism and later christianity is that of 'transcendence of heimarmene' (overcoming one's predestined fate)

quote:
"Christianity emerged from the linguistic and imagistic conventions of the hellenistic world and belonged to its array of religious alternatives, it was an initiatory cult open to all races, classes and sexes"
