Gender is also something that is not only words and we have the exact same kind of evidence from the same scientific fields (neuroscience and psychiatry) for the existence of gender as we do for dementia.

I would like to see the scientific evidence and what gender really means scientifically.

First off. The evidence is not just seen, it is also understood.
Secondly, it is also dependent on how you understand science, evidence and in the end how you understand the world.

It has been interesting to read everyone’s comments, although most are off the point I was looking to discuss. Initially, I started this thread in the CHRISTIAN DIR purposely to discuss with other Christians (only) the idea of transgenderism as an attack by Satan against God’s designed creation of human beings. The thread was moved unbeknownst to me to become an off topic debate I never intended. It almost seems like it was moved to stir up animosity. Therefore, I have not participated.

The point was NOT disrespect or hate for transgender people, nor to imply transgender individuals are satanic, and not because I have any interest in someone’s personal sexual orientation or identity. Neither, was it to say all people should to adhere to the biblical teachings concerning gender identity. Obviously, that is not to be expected of unbelievers. That is the reason I didn’t want a debate in the first place and wanted the point of Satan attacking humanity a discussion between Christians, since nonbelievers deny this spiritual being exists and the spiritual realm in general.

So this will be my only response on this thread. I will end with one further thought concerning this attack of Satan upon humanity. It appears that today the trend is transgenderism/gender identity, next it will be transhumanism.

The fact is even Christians can't agree on what you claim. And that Christianity is not the only one with Satan and unbelievers.
So yes, it could have come the same way.

Just a discussion it would have been like the first answer.

You have it backwards framing it as an attack by Satan. Satan is lord of this world. God’s will to establish his kingdom on earth is the attack.

Yeah, and you as an "I" and me as a "you" to you works different to me. That is the problem. The certainty is the same as that. We are just certain about different versions.

The Bible claims that God made "male" and "female" separate.

The problem is that an observation of the natural world shows that God is really bad at keeping things separated.

He separated "night" from "day" - yet we have dawn, dusk, eclipses, and twilight.
He separated "the land" from "the water" - yet we have swamps, bogs, marshes, wetlands, fens, mires...

So I'm skeptical about His ability (let alone desire) to separate "male" from "female."

If what defines you as a person and your role in society comes down to the dangly bits between your legs, and we now have the ability to surgically add or remove such aforementioned dangly bits, then maybe we should be looking for better definitions.

It’s partially due to his mercy. Satan doesn’t just deceive and deter. She is also the protector and comforter.

I agree, as a Christian, transgenderism is an attack by Satan. I’m not saying it’s a disease/illness as homosexuality has been classed as in the past but I do believe Satan has had a hand in attacking God’s creation.
