Trump Found Guilty

McBell

Unbound
Donald Trump is looking ahead with a straight face as Judge Juan Merchan denies the motion for an acquittal.
He's now sitting at the defense table with both seats beside him empty as his attorneys Emil Bove and Todd Blanche are at the bench.
Trump is sitting without moving. His other attorney, Susan Necheles, is two seats away from him.
Judge Juan Merchan sets a sentencing hearing for July 11 at 10 a.m. ET.

After the verdict Blanche asked the judge for an acquittal. Denied.

Trump is ranting. The usual blah, blah, blah nonsense. Rigged decision. Crooked judge. Biden's behind it all. He looks dejected. Low energy. What a crybaby.

I don't know, not sure how this one works, but now that he's convicted.... I think he can't leave New York state until sentenced. Not sure how any of this is going to work. It's a first time thing in the US.

How would he govern from there or meet any other heads of state?

Maybe a Zoom presidency would become a thing. :D

Does this carry any potential to forbid him from running in the election? I can't find any definitive answers to that question.
He can still run for President.

But he can't vote,

It makes no real difference, but the idea that he will not be able to vote in the election makes me smile.

I think he was advised to leave new york before the verdict.

I hope someone asks Bill Barr if he will still vote for a candidate that is now a convicted felon. And what will Nikki Haley say? Will she still vote for him after saying he is bad for America, and then saying last week that she will vote for him?
