Trump Guilty of Sexual Abuse.

Well one could say once you hit bottom, the only way remaining is up.

What I've seen is that there is no bottom on the right. Now we have kids working for no money at **** jobs and a "Christian taliban" wanting to impose their extreme beliefs on the entire country.

Oh there will be a bottom but I'd be very surprised if things don't get worse.

How do you know the party affiliation of the child labor violators?

I'll wager the jury set it that high to send a message.
A measly 1 million would be just walk'n around money
to Trump.

Whereas 5M makes a more noticeable dent. E.g., it will consume all the money he fleeced from his rube fan base on those NFTs plus an extra few million (supposedly he took in up to 1M on the NFTs).

It also may be (fingers crossed) a sign of things to come. There is a whole bunch of pending lawsuits, which means millions in lawyers' fees and potentially several millions more in fines, and that's on top of the more than $1B (yes, B) he's in debt to creditors. If he starts hemorrhaging millions in fines and possibly even face prison, those creditors are going to call in those debts.

I also find fault with the left, who take such great
offense at Trump's being a violent sexual predator,
but paid almost no attention to his beginning a
war with Iran, only to call it off after advice of
military brass.
The danger he poses is far greater than they realize.
IMO, raping a few women pales in comparison with
killing hundreds of thousands of people in another
useless war.
Unlike Clinton, Trump is not a hawk. In fact, he despises the military.
That said, he's also absolutely clueless. He might start a war out of stupidity, not because he wants to.

He came perilously close to starting one with Iran, and I think it's because he wanted to because war presidents consistently win reelection.

Not surprised.

E. Jean Carroll's lawsuit has prevailed and found Trump guilty of sexual abuse and fro defamation. The decision was unanimous.
I have no idea if Trump did anything to this woman but neither does anyone else including the jury. A man was found liable for sexual abuse in a civil case based on testimony of the accuser and some friends when they could not even remember the date some 26+ years ago. They also brought evidence that Trump was accused of doing bad things in the past so he must have done this which should not be allowed, it has no bearing on this claim. What defense is possible against that? Also, how does a jury come up with a compromise on this? She said she was raped and the jury said no, she was only abused. Where is the evidence for that?

Does anyone here care about Tara Reade? Why is her story not credible and Carroll's is?

I'm not suprised at all. A civil suit is easier than a criminal case.
With that said I think he was guilty... Period.

Former President Donald Trump told Fox News Digital that he will appeal the ruling in the E. Jean Carroll civil case, saying he has "absolutely no idea" who she is while blasting the verdict as a "disgrace" and "a continuation of the greatest political witch hunt in history."

We're going with witch hunt again
He may have a good case. The court allowed the Carroll's attorneys to play the testimony of a blithering idiot from a deposition as evidence for the jury.

I would hope Tara Reade could get her day in court just like Carroll. I think her story is also credible. It is disgusting how often powerful men misuse that power.

In the Carroll case I think the jury voted the way they did because of the confirming testimony. And you need to understand that it was not about a history of bad behaviour, it is a pattern of very similar behaviour. That is why that evidence was allowed.

And that is exactly why I see DeSantis as the bigger threat. He can open his mouth without announcing he's a delicate idiot.
DeSantis' problem besides being a colossal arse is he's not an adept or experienced debater. As doltish as Trump is, he's proficient at running his mouth non-stop. 98% of what he says will either be idiotic or incoherent but it doesn't matter because his objective is to steamroll over his competitor. Just look back to the 2016 presidential debates and how he never shut up and insisted on talking over others during their time, ignoring the moderators. DeSantis doesn't have that level of verbal diarrhea.

Yup. That lack of verbal diarrhea and instead doing something about it is why he's a bigger threat than Trump. He did far more damage amd destruction in Florida than Trump could ever hope to do.

If the conservative voters begin to see Trump as destined for prison who will they nominate? The criminal trials will cause him more stress and how he responds will be interesting. He's already going more extreme in his attacks on people and saying more absurd lies. The question is if the voters don't nominate him will he run independent? I think with his back against the wall he would.
