My thoughts are that the argument that the hearsay about Haitian people eating cats in Springfield, Ohio was debunked because it wasn't evidence reflects the weaponization of the U.S. Department of Justice against Trump. The rules of evidence belong to the judiciary, but facts (including those relating to hearsay) belong to the people.

As far as I know, at no point was the honesty of those involved in the hearsay account called into question.
The moon is made of green cheese, I said it, , the DOJ hasn't even denied it, therefore it is a fact. Get Help.

Now you know of at least one person who called the account into question--the person who started the rumor.

'It just exploded': Springfield woman claims she never meant to spark false rumors about Haitians

Except the she didn't. She only regretted the consequences, and the media misrepresented it as being about veracity.

The article literally quotes her as calling the account into question. She is not doubling down on it like Donald Trump and JD Vance are. She is admitting that it is nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor that she regrets having posted to Facebook. Kimberly Newton, the neighbor that Lee cited as a source also commented. From the article:

Newton told Newsguard that Lee’s Facebook post misstated her story, and that the owner of the missing cat was “an acquaintance of a friend” rather than her daughter’s friend. Newton could not be reached for comment.

Lee said she had no idea the post would become part of a rumor mill that would spiral into the national consciousness. She has since deleted the Facebook post.

Someone's cat went missing. That was all. No voodoo. No cats were eaten.

She said that it wasn't proof, which is true for any hearsay. There's no reason for anyone involved to lie about it, but there is a massive political incentive for the media to spin it as "debunked" or misrepresent it as being false.

No cats were eaten.
So now you're omniscient?

Are you saying they are doing this to worship Satan? Or is this a Voodoo practice? Where are our, Satanists, we use to have some here, do you have any say here?

You're making **** up because the facts don't support your position.

You're leaving out the part about the cart being prepared on the tree.
Which has nothing to do with skinning a cat to eat it, that would not be how you would do it Mr. hunter gatherer. Cats strung up in trees if it happened is not a voodoo ritual but likely evidence of a very poorly adjusted child. There is often evidence of such behaviours in violent murderers and psychopaths.

Yes, there is a link between animal abuse and psychopathy:

  • Psychopathy scores
One study found that people who have abused animals score higher on the Psychopathy Personality Test (PPTS) than those who have not.
  • Psychopathic traits
Animal abuse is associated with psychopathic traits, such as a lack of empathy and remorse, and a tendency to be deceitful and manipulative.
  • Conduct disorders
Animal abuse is a diagnostic criterion for conduct disorders, which are often precursors to antisocial personality disorder.
  • Serial killers
A history of animal abuse is a common trait among serial killers and school shooters.
  • Intimidation
Animal abuse is sometimes used as a form of intimidation in domestic disputes.
Animal abuse can also be a way to express rage, control, or coerce others. Some motives for animal abuse include: Retaliating against an animal, Satisfying a prejudice against a species or breed, and Expressing violent or aggressive behaviors.

Religious ceremonies rightly or wrongly are not considered psychopathy.

And how you actually skin a rabbit or a cat being similar sized quadrupeds. notice no trees were involved in this action.

Satan is a title that means adversary. Trump - Harris politics are strongly adversarial, so in a sense the misrepresentation of the facts by sources like The Hill supports that, although they're apparently not sacrificing a chicken to Moloch or anything like that.

With fingers crossed, the old rabbit's foot out of the box in the attic, I will be sacrificing a chicken in the backyard to Moloch . . .

The gunman for the second assassination attempt in less than 60 days has spewed the same rhetoric as the left does.

Kamala, Joe, top dems and the media have for 10 years called Trump a fascist, threat to democracy, racists, compared him to Hitler, threat to America, round up enemies and put them in jail, etc. This has to stop. This rhetoric almost got a former president killed. You can go on MSNBC, CNN or NY Times and hear this rhetoric daily. They owe Trump an apology and a call to stop with these lies and slurs. This latest shooter spewed the same rhetoric. The left is partly to blame for this radicalization of people.

*yawn*
Trump is simply reaping what he sowed.

Perhaps he should not have set the bar so low?

You are completely blinded -- by what, I don't know. This I do know: you cannot have watched and listened to very much of what he has said -- out of his own mouth -- over the past 6 months. Or, if you did, you plugged your ears through much of it, or you have Auditory Processing Disorder. (Quick test -- what does having to choose between being eaten by sharks or electrocuted by a boat battery have to do with electing an American President? I'm still waiting for anybody to answer that one. Bet I'll be dead before I get an answer.)

For the record, his own pick for VP, JD Vance himself, called Trump "America's Hitler," a "villain and a douche," and "unfit to be President." "A total fraud," "stomach churning, noxious," "reprehensible," "an idiot," "a moral disaster."

Do you know what people will do when they think they have a chance at power over others? Look at JD -- they'll reverse themselves on everything they once pretended they were about. And why? Because nothing's better than POWER.

Grow up, Clizby. The truth is usually the stuff that's right in front of you. You just have to look at it with both your eyes and your MIND open.
