Heh, apparently your memory doesn't reach back to the 80s with Reagan fighting a congress that had a 50 year Democratic majority. Both parties play the game, and use all the moves. What Putin has to do with anything is beyond me... :D
Putin is Hillary's boogeyman.
He plotted (allegedly) with Trump to steal her win.
So Putin & Trump are inextricably linked.

They didn't have the courage to do the right thing, huh? What's that quote about good men doing nothing?

Only in the minds of the intellectually deficient... Putin only cares about Putin, and to some extent Russia because Russia is Putin to some degree, lol. All the leaks are almost 100% burned Berner's, I mean it's just common sense that the leaks are the people closest to the data.

Basically, they don't have to accept him because Obama is lame duck.
No. But they are expected to hold hearings and then vote.
Before Garland was the nominee the Republicans had announced that it didn't matter who the nominee was. Anybody the president put forward would be ignored because the president wasn't a Republican.
Do you pay any attention to the news?

Really.
If Trump is Mike Pence's idea of a Christian, imagine what he means by "conservative" or "Republican" .

ROTFLMAO Trump has never become a Christian. He's a phony and only confessed becoming a Christian to become President.

Oddly enough, I have rough vague memory but its there, of Trump on Geraldo Rivera talking about his second wife, seems like he was cutting Christian standards down too.

The fact that Christians buy him as a Christian shows how ignorant and uneducated conservative Christians truly are.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I'm falling out of my chair laughing at the Christian church thinking about how gullible they are. ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO ROTFLMFAO

It really does.
Trump is more like the high priest of Mammon. He is all about money and p*ssy and fame, and he has been for his whole life. Hes bragged about it.
But when he needs the Christian Evangelical vote, he just mouths a couple of platitudes and he's in! Christians don't seem to have any standards.

Just to be fair, most Christians are only Christian on Sunday. The other 6 days they go back to using the other face.

Convenient, isn't it, how it's a "Christian nation" and thus should be guided by "Christian principles," but only until it comes time for a "value roll call," then all of a sudden we find people aren't so willing to claim the majority status of Christians.

Anyone that says the USA was founded as a Christian nation needs to go back and relearn US history.

I think this argument is mostly irrelevant and there are all walks and all religions represented in the Republican party. I feel a large part of why the Democrats have been losing so bad is they forgot the "freedom of religion" parts of the 1st Amendment, and start doing things that are off-putting to many. All of a sudden it is a surprise at the ballot box... No it isn't, you all went and jumped off the cliff. You didn't take time to be sensitive to others and understand their needs, and as a result you cut your own throats on election day. Keep doing that and 2020 will even look worse for the Democrats. They basically are in the position now where they either get some seats in 2018 or they fold up. The liberal ideology (in current form) has been given the downvote.

Telling religion they don't have the right to define marriage or a right to decide who they will serve in public is not forgetting "freedom of religion." Rather, it's a reminder of past court cases that have already ruled such.
You didn't take time to be sensitive to others and understand their needs
I've been living being sensitive to others, and trying to understand them, even when they do not extend the same courtesy to me. I decided I'm not doing that anymore. If someone doesn't want to even consider that I am a human who is fully entitled to equal protection of the law, I will no longer be sensitive to their "religious freedom" that has already been ruled illegal when it comes to other minority-status labels. If they don't want to consider my needs, and dismiss them as a "perversion," I have no problems dropping how far ethics have advanced in 3,000 years, that the Bible is filled with scientific flaws, their positions have already been ruled unConstitutional and illegal, and that their ways are dying out (the fact non-theism is spreading and becoming more common--globally--is the cherry on top of a well iced cake). They don't want to consider my needs, I have no problems telling them their religion has no right to define my life.

Such underestimations will probably be the crack to exploit in 2018 and 2020. It's blind foolishness to pretend this election was the public as a whole voting generally the same way. It didn't happen like that. So, go ahead, over estimate the strength of your position. It often makes the fall harder.

They do, but, nevertheless, they harp on about how it's a Christian Nation and Christian majority, but when it comes time to reflect on the values, suddenly their only Christian in name only, their only a Christian on Sunday, or more bluntly they aren't a real Christian. They only cling to the "Christian Nation" when it is convenient for them, and they ditch it as soon as it starts to work against them.
