You're under the mistaken impression that many
Harris voters support her. She's the lesser of 2 evils.
I've oft said she's a terrible candidates.
But Magas need to believe the worst of anyone
who opposes their Anointed One.
I'm not sure you are quite correct in that, anymore. Harris knew and followed Rule 1 in "The 48 Laws of POWER" -- don't outshine your boss. We've seen her obey it over the last 3 1/2 years "Joe Biden did this..." "Joe Biden's plan has..." "Joe Biden showed me that..."

But once the boss stepped aside, that rule no longer applies -- and what I'm seeing is a steady rise in appreciation for her strengths, in her own right. Brace yourself....

I think we need to put the time, effort, and money in how to make out current planet more livable as climate change is sped up by our non-friendly to the earth lifestyles. Those polar ice caps melting, it's really happening.

Oh please. I have been called so many nasty names just because I am voting for trump. What don’t you like about Harris’s positions? She was is parroting trump’s positions to try to get elected.

No, he said he would send a man there, actually it was something he promised a long time ago.
We will also note that there is no reason to even attempt it until we are much farther along in developing a place for a colony as anyone at NASA or involved in space exploration will tell you.

President Donald Trump made a bold promise in April: He would send a human to Mars during his first term — “or, at worst, during my second term.”
How many terms does he thinks he can have.
His first term is history
And his second is pie in the sky
He can not have a third.

This bromance is bad for the country.
Excerpted...
Donald Trump has vowed to reach Mars if he wins the presidential campaign.

The orange manbaby, 78, wants the US to reach the Red Planet “by the end of my term”. He also wants there to be “great military protection in space”.

The Republican presidential candidate said he will “talk” to SpaceX boss Elon Musk about getting the mission going. He told supporters in North Carolina: “We want to reach Mars by the end of my term.
He might get to Mars.
I hope so, as long as he stays there.

I don't support Harris. She's awful, eg, she intends to
really **** up the economy with price controls. But I
expect that saner Dems & Pubs in Congress will thwart
her more socialist tendencies. So she's better than a
treasonous rapey thug who'd create an imperial presidency.

So I'll vote for her merely to keep Trump out of office.
I'm far from alone.

No, the Bible addresses life on earth and human stewardship over the earth. God destroyed the Tower of Babel when humans attempted to build it to the heavens. With the lousy job humanity has done with taking care of this planet, I don’t see God allowing humans to move on to Mars.
It appears that God didn't notice the
many manned Moon missions.
(Some sweet alliteration, eh.)

What I know of her economic policies so far seems to be:
  • Ban on corporate price gouging
  • Raise corporate tax rate & capital gains tax to 28%
  • $3,600 child tax credit, $6,000 for newborns
  • Cap on childcare expenses for working families
  • Housing tax incentives & $25,000 downpayment assistance
  • Expand small business tax deduction
Yes, those may be on the socialist side, but you're aware that they'd have to get through Congress. That's one of those things I like about the U.S. system -- the checks and balances, that nobody or no group has unfettered power. (Oh, 'scuse me, until SCOTUS granted unfettered power to the President and basically said screw that basic principle. And I think we can blame Trump for that, too!)

  • Ban on corporate price gouging
Which means shortages, as it did
during gas price fixing by government
in the 70s.
  • Raise corporate tax rate & capital gains tax to 28%
Capital gains is largely a tax on more
devalued dollars being necessary to
pay an equivalent economic value, ie,
it's equity theft.
  • $3,600 child tax credit, $6,000 for newborns
Of no value to those who don't pay taxes, ie, the very poor.
  • Cap on childcare expenses for working families
Why limit how much we can spend on child care?
Or is it a limit on what can be charged (making it less available, & lower in quality)?
  • Housing tax incentives & $25,000 downpayment assistance
Encouraging increased risk in borrowing.
This has been a big problem....that'll get bigger.
  • Expand small business tax deduction
There's a small business tax deduction already?
Yes, those may be on the socialist side....
May be?

Aye, much pandering & bad ideas die in office.

She also proposed eliminating income tax on tips.
Why waive most tax paid by waiters, but not for
people who work jobs where tips aren't a major
portion of income?

Well, since everything that has an effect will also have side-effects -- what are your suggestions for what so many believe are America's economic ills?

The inflation that everybody hated so much was the result of government throwing lifelines to millions of individuals and thousands of businesses. Inflation was the side-effect. If it had not been done, quite literally millions would have lost income, homes, property, hope. Would that have been better? It seems to me to be a fact that America has recovered from the financial wreckage of the pandemic better than most countries around the world, and after a not-terribly-long time, inflation is back close to normal -- and the job market didn't fall apart. That's a pretty soft landing.

Humanity's most laughable trait, when faced with calamity: "Somebody should do something," followed very closely by, "but not that!"

That's probably why decent leaders are so few and far between.
