Trump supporter says groping no big deal. Daughters nod in agreement.

Some people like to be groped, while others don't. Some people think it's the crime of the century, while others might see it as a lesser offense.
Unless you know for certain which is which, however, the default position really ought to be "don't grope." It is not nearly as offensive to not satisfy someone's vague desire as it is to flagrantly violate someone.

@Revoltingest asked me what constituted a threat. To me this and similar statements did what goes around comes around.

I would expect him to take that feeling to the Supreme Court and rule that way as revenge on Democrat if he's confirmed. So, yes, to me that's a serious threat.

I'm also glad the FBI is involved. We can all hold our breaths or hyperventilate for the next week. In the meantime, one question I have is "did he lie under oath"? If the FBI says yes, he's toast.

I would turn him down also for his Trump-like nakedly partisan attack on Democrats. To me he was stupid for going down that path rather than keeping that to himself and displaying judicial temperament.

And as to his attacks on Democrats, I have two words in response: Merrick Garland. In fact, what the right did to Obama, the left is doing to Trump. Karma's a b****.

That's a threat?
Pbbbtttttt....sounds more like prognostication.
Even back in Shakie Spearie days, they knew of being hoist by one's own petard.

It's been claimed that he made a threat.
You're conflating this with his being a threat because of how
this experience will affect him personally & professionally

I will breathe evenly, with the expectation of nothing significant being found.
If I'm to be surprised, I'll deal with that when the time comes.

Something tells me you'd already opposed him.
(My spidersense.)

I don't expect both sides to play fair, so I'm neither disappointed nor surprised.

Political figures in the U.S., particularly on the right, posses no self awareness, much less a sense of decorum.
Political figures are one thing. This however is candidate to be one one of the top judges. Judges should strive NOT to be a political figures. Especially in a public interview for the job, which this effectively was.

I call bogus on this. What you call “uncontrolled scream” could as easily be called resolute passionate self defense. An innocent man wrongly accused could certainly be forgiven for being perturbed. The fact is no matter how he had acted some of his critics would still complain. If he was vociferous they would say he was unhinged, if he sat dispassionately they would say he was cold and obviously guilty because an innocent man would speak up passionately. Simply put, your mind was made up before the committee hearing and Judge Kavanaugh could say or do nothing to open your closed mind.
Yep, no way a Supreme Court Judge will ever face a perturbing situation where he needs to maintain his emotional stability

Yeah, I do. Though, we probably need to quantify what it is on paper verses what it is in practice. They're not related at all. There is "liberal" as in "likes equality, social structure, and tolerance" and "liberal" that is nothing more than religious zealotry attempting to jam itself down everyone's throats.

Essentially, it's the difference of building ramps to help a handicap person into a building, versus seeing those who have legs needing them removed to make it fair.

I miss classical liberalism really, if that was still a thing. :D

Suggesting that all liberals are radical SJWs is just as idiotic as suggesting that all conservatives are religious fundentalists or alt-right white nationalists.

Rather disturbing. Thoughts?

That's not what she's saying... I'll admit, that due to my selective reading / hearing, that I do not know who Cavanaugh is, and know nothing outside of the headlines. But from what I've heard on this video, it sounds like Cavanaugh rubbed a girls butt once when he was 18.

Who cares!

So you admit to not knowing anything about it, but comment on it anyway. Okay.
