Trump Wants Jail Time for Flag Burners

Would it be possible to enact something on the order of not allowing someone to yell "fire" in a theater?
You have the right to yell "fire" in a theater, however if there is no fire, you are also subject to legal penalties for putting people's safety at risk by creating unnecessary panic. Burning a flag on your front lawn is not the same thing. You don't have the right to shun things that offend you.

Edit: For the record, I think flag burning is idiotic, but people have the right to be idiots as long as they aren't harming others in the process.

The nation is divided down very understandable lines and if by burning the flag in public incites a reaction that is not conducive to order could not the person burning the flag be held responsible?
No, because it would be a license to make political speech illegal.
All opponents need do is over-react.
You want to make Clint Eastwood's boyhood home a national monument?
I'll horsewhip a whole herd of pregnant women!
Hey, presto!
It'll be illegal to advocate making Clint's day.

Considering America was twice denied, maybe we should all burn a flag on inauguration day and dare him to come after everyone.

This is sorta on the lines what Hillary supported in her bill back in 05. I didn't like that bill and don't think that someone who expresses their 1st amendment right should be punished because their protected speech incites a public reaction especially when the public reaction to protected speech would probably be deemed illegal in of itself.

Says the guy who just brought up Clinton in the previous post?
It's an analogy, silly.
Not a change in topic.
Now, stay on topic if you can.

I don't think so. Someone else asked me a question in reference to her 2005 bill and I responded to that. Esmith asked a question about enacting law that was similar to what she co-sponsored in that bill.

Although rare, it is possible for a naturalized U.S. citizen to have his or her citizenship stripped through a process called "denaturalization." Former citizens who are denaturalized are subject to removal (deportation) from the United States. Natural-born U.S. citizens may not have their citizenship revoked against their will, but may choose to renounce their citizenship on their own.

If they are criminals, they can be exported to another country's correctional institutes. And I know for a fact, that Mexico will be glad to receive funds from our government to house inmates in their country.

Your grandparents would be proud, the same people that when their men were away slavishly worked in the factories to produce war materiels to defeat the Nazis, the same people who slept little in muddy ditches, those who watched their friends get maimed and killed. Yeah, burn a flag- I will be laughing on the sidelines when you catch yourselves on fire.

Two of my grandparents were drunks who raised a herd of kids who have a hard time staying out of jail as adults, and on my other family my grandfather was a prick and my grandmother wouldn't have agreed with it, but it's a part of those freedoms her son went and fought in Vietnam for (or, at least, so they were told). But if you go back further, it would make my ancestors proud because they themselves were a thorn in the asses of the British or the Romans. Many of them chose to die standing as free men and women rather than live and kneel.

You'll disappointed then.

But what if the flag is made in another country....but has our stars and stripes?

What if the flag is printed out on paper and I decided to burn it?

Does this mean I can't wipe my face at cookouts with American flag napkins anymore?

I think people put too much emotion into symbols...
