Trump's Complete Failure as a Business Man

No, executive privilege does not apply. You need to get rid of this Trumpette mentality. The President cannot apply executive privilege to investigations into him. Think about it a little bit.

It's already done.:D

I've not been threatening he is going to do it.:D

It's was done yesterday!:D

There is nothing you or anyone can do about it. No matter how hard you ignore it. It goes to the courts now. The court will try to get Congress and the DoJ to compromise. If no compromise the court will rule according to the law of the land. The law of relevance is the law I cited. 99.9% chance the court rules in favor of the DoJ should they be forced to make a decision.

And Congress can ignore it because he cannot apply it in these matters.

You need to study the Constitution a bit.

They can ignore it, but it won't help them any. They have to go through the court system now. Considering they have been implicated by the report, they can't be trusted with it.

No, they can ignore an illegal order and interview Mueller. Now Mueller may refuse to show, but if he does show, and if he does testify then Trump would be forced to go to the courts. He won't be able to stop him. He could try to prosecute, but with a clearly illegal.order I doubt if he could.

Let's try a non-biased source. Well tbh Politifact is slightly left leaning. But I digress!

What you need to know about executive privilege

An excerpt:
How long could it take to sort out this issue?

The duration of the legal process may be the biggest advantage for the Trump White House.

Even if history suggests that Trump holds a weak legal argument, it would take months for various levels of courts to hear the case and issue their rulings -- perhaps approaching Election Day 2020. During this period, the administration would be able to keep secret the information that Congress wants.

Then why haven't they?;)
Because it is wiser not to push the boundaries if they do not need to. Your last source ended by saying it is probably a stall. But if Trump does not back down, as he has done so many times before, what do you think would happen if Congress ignored his illegal order?

 Yeah I don't buy that.

They will have to deal with the Justice Depart for obstructing justice, by viewing grand jury info unauthorized. As per my link to the DoJ outlines. They were authorized to view a less redacted report, and the declined. That's on them. The DoJ compromised, 0 Dems went to view it.

The law has been followed to the letter by the DoJ. Its Congress that's abusing its power.

No, they are the Grand Jury in this case. That is the job of the House.

Not in this particular case, under these particular circumstances, involving these particular laws.

The law has been followed perfectly. If you don't like it take it up with the DoJ.

A grand jury decides whether or not a suspect is to be indicted. Right now it is thought that a sitting President cannot be indicted, but he is not above the law. It is the House of Representatives job to indict him or not and that is done through impeachment. They are the Grand jury.

the DoJ does not have authority in this matter. You forgot That is a group under Trump's command. They have no such constitutional authority.

Impeachment for what?

I should correct myself, the DOJ can investigate the president, but the Congress has more authority. Since a corrupt President can corrupt the departments under him there are two solutions, either the Attorney General can recuse himself, as Sessions did, or it can be done by Congress:

Who Oversees The President's Ethics? Here's Our List

Unfortunately Trump fired an honest man and hired a dishonest one. Now it is in Congress 's hands.
