Trump's Judge Indefinitely Postpones Trump's Trial In FL

Maybe you should read it again -- and if you find that new trial date, let us know. What the judge said is this:

"The Court also determines that finalization of a trial date at this juncture—before resolution of the myriad and interconnected pre-trial and CIPA issues remaining and forthcoming—would be imprudent and inconsistent with the Court’s duty to fully and fairly consider the various pending pre-trial motions before the Court, critical CIPA issues, and additional pretrial and trial preparations necessary to present this case to a jury.6 The Court therefore vacates the current May 20, 2024, trial date (and associated calendar call), to be reset by separate order following resolution of the matters before the Court, consistent with Defendants’ right to due process and the public’s interest in the fair and efficient administration of justice."
The trial date was vacated, and no new trial date set. That is, it was vacated indefinitely.

Unless you don't know the meaning of the word indefinitely, that should be clear enough to you.
You bolded the part where the court said it would reset the trial date after resolution of the matters pending. And that comes after the court sets forth a bunch of things to get done. That’s not indefinitely. Perhaps you have an odd definition of indefinitely.

Yes, but based on past behaviour of this court the "resolution of the matters pending" will not happen anytime this decade.

Ok. Thanks for admitting you were wrong.
What did I say that was wrong?

I am happy to admit I am wrong when I am wrong. And I am wrong quite frequently.

But I have no idea what I was wrong about in this case. Are you mistaking me for someone else?

You said indefinitely recognized that that is not the case

What definition of "indefinitely" are you using? If you think it means "forever," it doesn't.

Indefinitely (adverb): for an unlimited or unspecified period of time.

I used the word absolutely correctly.

But history indicates that this judge will use that to her (and Trump's) advantage.

That’s not how courts work.
Which is why this judge should be severely sanctioned or even removed. Legal experts have been mentioning the abuse for quite some time. This is a judge that should have recused herself since she showed favoritism to Trump in the past tot the point where her a decision of hers was overturned.

Media partisans. Why haven’t the actual lawyers prosecuting the case moved to disqualify the judge? It’s not as clear cut as media pundits and forum “experts” try to make it seem.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Despite similarities, I see big differences.
Are you saying you don't?
No, I see some differences being an American. But they also have many similarities. First and foremost being that they both suck. I think it's so sad that this is what we can offer as leaders of the free world.

How is the American perspective relevant
to seeing differences between them?
I ask because in discussions with foreigners,
they see differences that I see.

Probably basically on this forum.

Anyway, I would bet that to most "foreigners" they both look like American politicians first and foremost. Remember, I have a lot lot lot of experience with "foreigners" having lived in and visited both Europe and Asia.
