truth...
objective truth... provable truth through observation and experience
in other words empirical truth.
So you think that all truth is empirical or objective?

So you think that all truth is empirical or objective?
no
i think truth is empirical
subjective truth isn't
Subjective truth isn't empirical? How can it be truth, then?
But you just said truth is empirical, and that subjective truth isn't empirical.because it's subjective truth...
But you just said truth is empirical, and that subjective truth isn't empirical.
thats right...
what is the problem?
is it an empirical truth one cannot run through a brick wall?
try it...
isn't belief without evidence subjective?
i never said all truth is empirical truth...Of course. The problem is that by your definitions, "subjective truth" is a contradiction in terms. You say all truth is empirical, therefore there can be no such thing as subjective truth.
no
i think truth is empirical

Here again you say that "truth" means "objective truth."
Post 402 would suggest otherwise.
an objectively provable token representing god...
it seems you have a problem understanding my definition of a true church
Maybe he would have. It didn't look to me as if they gave Him much of a chance. The only possible qualifier I might give to that is that, as they explained in the show, they were apparently told by the missionaries that once baptized, God would provide them with the means by which they could keep their promises.
Well, we know Ross and Carrie lied. We really don't know that the missionaries did. That might allow an interpretation of their intent as something like "we're going to be as truthful as our missionaries were to us."
I have no problem understanding it. I have a problem accepting it.
i hope your kidding...Where did you get this definition from?
because i can't accept things by face value...Why will you accept no other definitions?
You can't just pull a definition out of thin air and hold someone to it.
i don't remember that... but i will check back with you on that. It's obvious that Ross and Carrie lied. Thankfully most people agree.
They did declare in the Sikh podcast, with some disappointment, that it wasn't as weird as they were hoping. To me, this says they're in for controversy. The fact they label according to 'danger', and such, says they're not going to learn but to be childish and rude.
What's amazed me is some people think there's nothing wrong with being deliberately deceitful and dishonest, and how others think they have done something good.
