Friend My Lionheart,

What is the truth of Islam? do you know? i doubt that your truth is the same as everyone who calls themself a Muslim.

EXACTLY!!
TRUTH is not about following any religion; its all about facing reality or TRUTH and that one does as individuals and not as a muslim, hindu, christian., jew etc.
Only as naked humans under the open sky we are in direct touch with existence and that is what truth is all about.

Friend not4me,
Is this your reply to Abu Rahsid questions?

There is no need to *ROLL YOUR EYES*!
Kindly note that all responses are always directly to the individual and if it is meant for everyone then it is mentioned accordingly addressed only as * friends*
Since always mark the question to which responses are given; there should be nothing left to doubt or roll one's eyes.
Am sorry, if you have not followed the response, then you need to first understand what is being discussed here which shall be of great help to the supreme understanding.

Friend ben,

Am not for or against Mohammud or Ali Sinai, both are human one realised the self and the other has not.

Friend zenzero,

It is my understanding that the Comparative Religion Forum is intended to be about the serious comparison of religions and discussing their essential congruency of purpose and as appropriate their incongruent points, not about attacks on the character of esteemed holy personages of a religious tradition and certainly not an attack on any religion, but will defer to the Administrators on this.

IOW, this forum should not be about your, Ali Sinai's, or anyone else's personal opinion of the personal character of Mohammud, or any other holy personage of the world's great religious traditions.

The question is how many followers of islam understand what TRUTH is all about?

Only Allah knows how many followers of Islam understand what TRUTH is all about so what is your point of asking mere mortals a question that you as a mortal also don't know?

Like to discuss personal understandings of all issues as individuals and not as members of any organised religions which mostly are sets of mind functions.
Love & rgds

As alluded to above, if you want to discuss any controversial issue as individuals and not as members of any organized religion, then IMHO this is not the place, better go to debate forum for this forum is intended for serious discussion of comparative religion.

really?
No opinions in the Comparative Religion Forum?
Wonder what that would look like?

Wow.
Way to completely miss the point.

And remember, NO OPINIONS!!
like the one above?

Friend ben / Mestemia,

Appreciate for pointing out that the Thread is posted in the wrong place.
Apologies for the same and would request the Admin to do the needful.

It needs tobe understood that when one becomes enlightened he no longer remains an individual but a *buddha* and they are no more a mortal having any personality and if any one tries to assisinate their character [which is no longer existing by virtue of being a buddha] then it does not have any effect except on those who are still attached with some mind matter like personality / character.

Only God knows what is the truth in the heart of each and every Muslim. Clearly you also understand that this also applies to each and every soul regardless of their religion or even lack thereof, and that naturally includes you and this poster.

i doubt that your truth is the same as everyone who calls themself a Muslim.
Personally do no possess the Truth, the TRUTH is with the On High and therein alone lies the destiny of immortality/Heaven. etc.. That individuals conceptually imagine that their Truth is the absolute TRUTH is a result of conceit and ignorance, but hey...this is natural and the reason why mortal souls are incarnate,...to suffer the trials and joys of the lessons of life that ultimately reveal the TRUTH.

Though holy personages of the various religious traditions point the way, it is still each individual that to 'realize' IT. That many fall short is not the fault of the On High, nor of the holy Messenger, but a part of due process of the Divine plan,...don't ever throw the baby out with the bath water.

Zen has highlighted what we are, individuals.
There is more to it than that though it is accepted that you are speaking for yourself as you presently understand it. A holy personage of any religious tradition who has transcended their separate ego nature is beyond such concepts as 'individual' though this can't be proven to another, the only proof is Self Realization itself. :)

No need to apologize to me.

I am trying to figure out what the hell Ben is going on about.

Not supposed to post opinions in this forum?
That's a new one for me.

Interesting though, that he posts loads of opinions whilst saying no opinions are supposed to posted.

Gonna have to wait and see what his real issue is.

No offense, but this sounds like a cop out.

Does this also include Mohammad?
What about those Muslims who some Muslims say are not Muslims?

To be fair he does seem to want honest debate. I can see how all of this would be inflammatory to a devote Muslim, but it is very interesting and another point of view.

Hi no-body, to be fair it is agreed that he does want debate but can't agree that he is honest.

And pleased to see that you also see it is inflammatory and acknowledge that its debate he wants, and as this is a 'no debate' forum, it should not be here.

This is a completely insulting writing, that no one can claim it to be anything else.
Here are two paragraphs from it

"The combination of all these psychological disorders and his unusual physiognomy made Muhammad a phenomenon that set him apart from ordinary people. His uneducated followers interpreted his differences as signs of his prophethood. Like devotees of all cults, they rose to champion his cause with dedication. By defying death and butchering others they made Islam the world's second largest religion, now the biggest threat to world peace and the survival of human civilization."

"We live in a dangerous time. When a fifth of humanity worships a psychopath, eulogizes suicide bombing and thinks killing and martyrdom are ultimate acts of piety, the world becomes a dangerous place. When these people acquire atomic bomb, the earth becomes a powder keg. Islam is a cult. It is time to wake up and realize that this cult is a threat to mankind and there can be no co-existence with Muslims. As long as Muslims believe in Muhammad, they are a threat to others and to themselves. Muslims must either leave Islam, discard their culture of hate and join the rest of mankind as fellow humans, or non-Muslims must separate themselves from them, ban Islam, end the immigration of Muslims and send home those who plot against"

Is there anyone who respect his/her mind read such books?!

Friends,

Request for changing this thread to an appropriate directory has been made and acknowledged; kindly wait for the same for any further discussions on it.

The real reason for posting under Comaprative religion was to discuss and compare with other religions as every religions has their own detractors and followers BUT finally what is important??
We all know that DUALITIES exists and is the TRUTH and this duality needs to be accepted if someone is holy then surely somewhere unholiness exists which cannot be denied and the book itself is the proof of that.
It is unfortunate that even after years of understanding, misunderstanding about duality still exists in human minds but then we also accept karma which one has to complete before one is able to clearly understand and be balanced and not be affected by any duality.

Hi Mestemia, its not about "not posting opinions in this forum", the point being made that this forum is a no debate Comparative Religion Forum but the OP only offers an egregious critique of Mohammud and Islam as the theme on which to have a discussion.

FYI, here is a definition of Camparative Religion.

Comparative Religion

Comparative religion is a field of religious study that analyzes the similarities and differences of themes, myths, rituals and concepts among the world's religions. Religion can be defined as the human notions regarding the sacred, numinous, spiritual and divine.

In the field of comparative religion, the main world religions are generally classified as either Abrahamic, Indian or Taoic.

Now if you are still with me, can you understand that it is just not possible to to have a comparative religion discussion without a second or more religion with which to compare. Offering personal pro and con opinions about a single religion is not a comparative religion discussion.

P.S. Friend zenzero, sorry for not waiting and hope you understand but just wanted to clear up Mestemia's mystification. ("I am trying to figure out what the hell Ben is going on about" and "Gonna have to wait and see what his real issue is.)

Friend ben,

Personally have no issues about which directory and what rules as they are only means to an understanding which finally is beyond all rules and regulations.
If you had not pointed out about the appropriateness of the directory; would never have being aware. Thanks for that!

Rgds your clarifications to friend Mestemia, it is fine as finally our minds should be free from all pending issues to be FREE!

Ah, well that makes more sense than your no opinions spiel.

("I am trying to figure out what the hell Ben is going on about" and "Gonna have to wait and see what his real issue is.)
Still have no idea what the hell all the "no opinions" stuff was all about.
Seems the 'real issue' was the fact that, as you stated, the thread was not comparing different religions.

Lame stuff?

Hmmm.
I would not call it lame.
Inflammatory, yes.
Chock full of errors, yes.
Exaggerated claims, yes.

In fact, I would go so far as to describe the book as a troll.
But then, that is pretty much what I would expect from an "injured" ex-Muslim.

Just like I would expect the same from any book written by an ex-Christian to be an attack on Christianity.
