I believe it does not match our reality. We don't have any talking reptilians. We also don't have dinosaurs but we accept that they existed because of the evidence left behind. I accept the Bible as evidence because it is God telling the story.

AND, if there is, why would he tell tales
that are so plainly not true?

Omphalos is still a deliberate attempt to deceive. But I do love me some Last Thursdayism in the morning.

No, the whole omphalos argument is silly. In the myth we do not know if Adam had a belly button or not. Claiming that he had one or did not have one is an unjustified and indefensible claim. It really does not matter since it would make no difference to either Adam or Eve if they had belly buttons since they never knew what caused them. But to make the world with a false history is a totally different matter.

Luke 10:21.
We (Christians of course) have to use the Holy Scriptures, as the basis / support for our beliefs.

Since God (Jesus’ Father) is the one who reveals His word, we need His approval…. and that comes from obedience to Him! And His Son.

John 15:14….as opposed to Titus 1:16; Jesus even said He would deny some claiming to be His followers, because of their lawless works. — Matthew 7:21-23.

So, are there *false* Christians? According to Jesus (the Leader of that club): yes.
