if im copying in an exam ill copy all without knowing wat is right or wrong........in tht case ur question shouldnt be framed "did muhammed copy frm the vedas" rather u should ask did 'muhammed correct the vedas"..
Ha, ha, ha! How could Mohammad correct the Vedas? The Vedas existed even before Mohammad.
. also vedas were written in ur sanskrit...muhammed forget knowing sanskrit , was an illiterate and didnt evenknow how to read or write in arabic.......
.

Of course it is well known that Mohammad was illiterate. But it is not known that he was deaf. He could have learnt about it from the idol worshippers of Mecca. .
no it's no worship...how is it worshipping????....it's only saying PBUH:peace Be Upon Him....why shouldnt a righteous soul deserve peace????besides we refer PBUH even to jesus, moses and other prophets also to ali, husain, umar, aisha etc etc.and all righteous people..
.

OK, I accept you are not worshipping Mohammad by saying PBUH. You are only blessing him. But isn’t blessing Allah’s job?
i ve been born and live here at fort,mumbai.......
Hey, I also live in Fort. Which makes us neighbours. We must meet. (It’s a small world.)
whether they did it knowing a muslim did or hindu, only they know and god knows..but the point is tht they forced closing down all shops and raised violence...anyways lets not deviate frm religion to politics..
.

I think you deviated. Why did you bring up Shiv Sena if you did not see any relevance to our discussion?
indeed we would ban internet ,if it was tht easy.......
You are repeating that you are an intolerant person. I suppose if it was possible, you would have banned all religions except Islam!

oh..i see so u r saying u reject the vedas!!!! ncredible.....nonsense, equalising mortal to god is entirely unacceptable ht's crap.
Why is rejecting something nonsense? In that case, why don’t you accept the Vedas? And “equalizing” mortal to God is not crap, because we are not mortal. We are immortal. Islam does not teach this and therefore I feel it is a myth that Quran is God’s word.
...oh so if i kiss my mother, sister, wife does tht mean i am idol worshipping her??????...
There are kisses and there are kisses. Is kissing the sister and kissing the wife the same? Therefore why compare kissing the stone-that-was-kissed by Mohammad to kissing sister and wife?
.also MFaraz_hayat has quoted wat I wanted to quote….also venerating is not haraam in islam, but idol worshipping is..........
.

What may be veneration for one may be worship for another.
i say again ur bhagwad gita was written by not krishna but 1000's of yrs later by someone else...how u consider his word so seriously???????
That’s my choice, is in not? Please understand the most important thing of all - Hindu culture (and the modern democratic and secular culture) has given everyone the right to hold religious views of their choice. Islam does not give that right. You have to believe in the Quran or you are dead. Is this not true?
so ur saying there is no universal law in hinduism........yes truth is one:::then how does veda say no idol worshipping and bhagwad gita say yes to it??????truth can be one and expressed variously unless it contradicts itself, and saying yes to idol worshipping and no to it simultaneously is contradicting......and please vedas prohibit idol worshipping, i study comparitive religion,i understand basic messages of many religions.......
There is no contradiction at all. Those who wish to can worship idols and those who do not wish to need not. Where is the contradiction? Difference does not mean contradiction.
ur the one who started asking the absurd question of muhammed following the vedas....

This is not an absurd question. If Mohammad can pick up so many things from the Jewish tradition, why couldn’t he have picked up something from the Hindu tradition? Otherwise how do you explain the similarity of some verses in the Vedas and Quran? If you say that he got it directly from Allah, then it proves that the Vedas too are from Allah. So what’s so unique about Quran? (Except saying that it is the last word of Allah.)
muhammed never spoke of india but once saying
Can you quote what Mohammed said about India? (Or do you mean … even once?)
and besides he said it because he was a true prophet, and could sense it....r u nuts!!! The land distance between makkah and India is 16000kilometres, even if he traveled 10 kilometres everday it would take 5 years to reach India, and 5 years to get back to India….ur saying muhammed traveled 10yrs to and frm India?????crazy dude… also to let u know Arabia in those times was not entirely discovered, how could they get to India,if their own land was only not completely known????…
.

Did I say he personally traveled to India? I suggested that he might have got it from the idol worshippers of Arabia, who might have known about the Vedas.
Wat ‘al hind’..nope no such thing…..tht’s probably a rumour u heard…..
I read a famous Indian Muslim quote Mohammad’s comment on Al Hind. If I come across that piece of writing again, I shall inform you.
now but here there is no winged horse or flying carpet,is there???? 'prostration' means 'reduce to despair'...so furthest place of prostration simply would mean a state of being in which one is 'furthest frm despair'.....in qur'an u will never find what men dreamt or other such thngs...but in the the bible it goes tht far of talking of how men commited incest..etc etc..the purpose of this verse is to let us know when the verse was revealed....
.

You said that Mohammad traveled on a winged horse only in his dream. But the verse in the Quran does not talk of any dream. So how was Mohammad transported from Mecca to Jerusalem and from there to heaven to meet Allah?
there is no evidence to say krishna dreamt of having 16008 wives?????so he was indeed unjust with his wives....
Krishna’s 16,008 wives-episode is also talked of as ‘maya’. You could translate this as ‘dream’.

The bible has been written and rewritten many times has it not? Does that at all lessen its seal of confidence since misinterpretations are a given for sure?
It isn't as if the whole of the Bible has been rehashed at any time. Some words here and there may have been changed or added to to clarify for newer generations. As long as the spirit is retained, change of words might not matter. Quran has come through to the present without any change. Remarkable. But even with such a 'perfect' book there are many sects of Islam. I wonder why? What special advantage has the Quran displayed in not changing even a comma thus far?

A typical representative of Islam - capable of fantasizing violence even upon harmless and loveable penguins. Even upon one with such a great sense of humour as our Penguino.

A sheep of Allah ready to slaughter sheep in the name of Allah in the House of Allah.

In my fiath it is clearly stated that we ALL are the servants of God's wilol, no matter what we say or do.

"Is there any Remnover of Difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God. He is God. All are His servants and all abide by His will."

Even when we are heart-set on denying God and His will.

Christians pray that God's will be done. Baha`i's know that nothing exists butr the will of God and our ability to pursue actions which would SEEM to deny the will of God is part of the will of God in the first place.

The world doesent rotate around islam.
The world rotates because Allah has made it rotate. Who is Allah? He is the one who has made the world rotate. Why has be made the world rotate? So that every part of the world can get sunlight. No, I did not ask what happens when the world rotates. I asked why has Allah made the world rotate? Ah, you are asking why Allah did it? Because he has a plan and to fulfill that plan he has to make the world rotate. What is his plan? How do we know? We are not Allah. Maybe somewhere he has told us his plan? Maybe in the Quran? No, in the Quran Allah mostly brags about his capacity, seeks to either tempt or terrify man into submission, but he has not taken us into confidence about his plan. Who are we to share his plan - are we his partners? No, we are merely his slaves. So who is Allah? We don't know him except as he introduces himself in the Quran. Thank Allah for the Quran. At least we know he exists, though we do not know his plan.

His plan is vastly broad, but not unstated. 'I'll put it in Baha'i terms since it is clearer there

The Short Obligatory Prayer:

"I bear witness, O my God, that Thous hast created me to know Thee and to worship TheeI' I testify at this moment to my powerlessness and to Thy might, to my poverty and to Thy wealth. There is none other God but Thee, the Help-in-Peril, the Self Subsisting."

this is wat i called understanding....

ur statement 'i dont beieve everything i hear' is indeed commendable....

see there is no pressure of anyone accepting islam,it's a personal choice....but ill just let u know that there are good reasons for islam to be fastest growing religion in the world....
well for non beleivers i dont argue further, all i say that just sit easy, relax and watch the show......

If only fastest growing was indicative of having truth though.

if u wish to spark of a debate between qur'an and the bible, well be my quest..id love too....also 'fastest growing' is because it is something which is destined to happen,u could prevent tht with all ur might and not succeed.......im not using 'fastest growing' to prove it as the true word of god,it is only 1 of the attributes of islam.....

to prove it as the true word of god, tht requires a different dabate alltogether, also no offence but i thoroughly enjoy how muslim apologeitcs/muslim scholars massacre the arguments if ur 'christian missionaries', well im sure u havent watched any islam vs. christianity deabte nor have read the qur'an which is why u raise doubts......
It is always nice to see that good old Muslim charm applied somewhat acidically to discussions. I care not how supposed "scholars" respond to supposed Muslim "scholars", lol. The simple fact is that you have not discussed anything with me, as of yet. If you manage to survive the encounter, you will succeed in gaining my untethered respect.

The first thing you MUST understand is that I LOVE Muslims because their debate style is so unique. You MUST also understand that I have little but contempt for Islam itself. I am well versed and would be delighted to discuss ANY aspect of Islam with you in a one-on-one "debate", time permitting, of course.

As I granted another Muslim not too long ago, you will be given FULL access to quote from any external source you wish from the writings of ANY religions. I will take a handicap of NOT being permitted to quote ANY external source and will have to debate with the merits of my own thinking. Does this sound like "shooting fish in a barrel" or what?

If you choose to accept this "invitation" you need only start a thread in the one-on-one debate section and then PM me that the festivities have begun. Are you up to it?
