War drum being beat louder than ever

What political party has been responsible for getting the US into armed conflict, say since the end of WWII?
The one we're in now. The longest and most expensive war in USA history. We are still fighting the Iraq and Afghan invasions.
The Bush Wars.

Let me ask a very simple/complex question.
What do you think should be done about the North Korean situation, that isn't being attempted at the present time?
Get China to do the heavy lifting.
They've got the military power and the clout in Pyongyang to get things done.

Trump needs to stop pandering to his base by making threats he can't back up.

That isn't what I asked.
It is the Republican Party.
The people who controlled both houses of Congress and the White House when they started the most disastrous war in recent USA history. The one we are still fighting.
And now they control Washington DC again and are finding ways to justify even more wars.
The Republican Party.

Tom
ETA ~ I'm not even a Democrat. I just can't help noticing the wars and recessions the Republican Party keeps inflicting on the USA. ~

I think that is what the President is attempting to do.
However, let me ask you a simple question......Who supplied a lot of the parts to North Korean missiles? Who, supplies North Korea with the trucks used to transport North Korea's military equipment? Are you willing to let North Korea develop an intercontinental ballistic missile with a nuclear warhead? What has been accomplished by the last 4 administrations in regards to North Korean's nuclear program?

You still fail the simple(?) task...I asked
What political party has been responsible for getting the US into armed conflict, say since the end of WWII?

However I do see that might be confusing to some so let me rephrase the task
Since the end of WWII name the political party responsible for committing the U.S. military to every conflict or continuing the involvement of U.S. forces

Dodge and squirm all you want. In the 21st century the Republican Party is the party of stupid war. The evidence is out there for all to see, although not on Fox News.
Yet.

Trump needs to keep quiet and stop creating tensions with the world. This is why it's not smart to elect a person that has no political experience. The government isn't a for-profit business.

Trump is the one who's making a big deal all of a sudden about NK. When NK has been doing this for decades. Trump is acting hawkish, which you don't like. The problem with the republican party is that there are a lot of crooked corporations that rely on tax dollars for their profits. Which is why the largest corporations want to be in bed with the government. They can buy all levels of government.

Times change, stop living in the past. The republican party is not progressive, it's conservative these days.

I still don't understand your position. From one vet to another. Please clarify. Syria seems to be pretty clear, take out Assad. Are you for that type of military action? Military action doesn't only mean ground troops.
My position is if you are going to use military power then use military power. If you break it you own it. Understand the consequences of your actions. Those are a few of my positions.

Seems like you think you know what I think, I would suggest you haven't a clue.
Also it seems you think you know better than those that have more information and the intelligence to use that information. I would suggest you reconsider your stance

Trump is in the right here. North Korea should have been dealt with, decades ago. Albeit most of the moral blame sits upon China, were it not for them propping up this evil regime then we wouldn't be facing the real possibility of it obtaining deliverable nuclear weapons within the next few years. I don't know about you, but I see that as a greater risk to the world than anything in the middle east.

The approach that the Trump administration is doing has a name: "brinkmanship". But in today's world, especially since nukes could all too easily get involved, this is a very dangerous tactic because one of the parties may jump the gun or there could be an accidental incident.
so what do you want to do, sit back and let them do what they want lol.

Come on now. Hillary was an outright warhawk. She was very vocal about it. Trump, on the other hand, at least he was "smart" enough to lie about what he would do about Syria, because he knew his followers would still support him, and make excuses for him when he flip-flopped.
At 2:07 "I then did promote a no-fly zone, and I still believe we should have done a no-fly zone."
A no-fly zone would have put a green light on shooting down Russian planes. (Could you imagine what would happen if the US even attempted to shoot down a Russian plane?

She would have taken a much bigger military strike on Syria than Trump did, as she clearly says in this video.
Ha, yes Hillary dillary is a total nut case lol.

Ignore them, they're irrelevant.

Well except if you live in South Korea and Japan.
US allies.

Just saying.

I know US Democrats don't really care.

Obama had a good plan.

Which was?

Under Obama the North Korean Nuclear Weapons Program reached its current status.
Under Obama the North Korean Ballistic Missile Program reached its current status.

Obama did not press China, the only country that can exert significant influence to North Korea for changes that would keep not only the peninsula but all of East Asia peaceful.

Trump is the one who's making a big deal all of a sudden about NK. When NK has been doing this for decades.

Difference is that they didn't have Nuclear Warheads and weren't on their way to ICBMs.
I still remember the time when the biggest risk of a hot Korean War was Seoul going up in flames.
Good times.

They were at most a danger to South Korea, something which could be contained.

Soon not only South Korea is in danger but also Japan or even ROC (Taiwan).
This gives North Korea power in negotiations.

I am starting to realise that people don't get this easy fact.

Get China to do the heavy lifting.
They've got the military power and the clout in Pyongyang to get things done.

So what are you willing to give China in return?
Acknowledge its rule over Tibet?
Give them ROC (Taiwan)?
Perhaps Mongolia?
They always wanted to rule over Vietnam...

Ah so many possibilities.

North Korea isn't a threat. Whoever tells you that is most likely going to be a republican. We don't have to do anything. And we shouldn't. Because NK isn't a threat to America. I'm seeing a lot of hawks here who claim to hate hawks.

I'm not blaming the Democrats for starting those conflicts, I'm blaming the Obama administration for their inept bungling and unwillingness to see the problem and take actions to combat it. Although they did eventually see the errors of their ways and attempted to correct it with half measures.

How do you know North Korea isn't a threat to the U.S.? I'm assuming your getting your ideas from the @tytlyf book of knowdledge(?).
