Did you left the church or are you still a member?
Condolences about your mom, that takes a lot of strength and heart to be a caretaker. For the last year of my mother's life I became her 24 hour a day care taker. I have a housemate for my place and left it pretty much up to her to take care of that and I moved back to my mother's house. I used to take her to church on Sundays and they knew that I was not a member and was well received there. It was because I still respected their beliefs that I would not take communion with them. I seriously think that they would not have been offended, but to me it would have been hypocritical.
Wth is wrong with him? Doesn't he have any concept of how dangerous that could be? A baby's neck muscles aren't strong or developed yet! He'd find his stupid holy water slammed over his head very violently if he had done something so stupid and careless with my kid!In some orthodox churches baptizing is brutal.
Something like this , i don't see this kind of baptism neccessary.
Where i come from , it is not done like this.

Im an early childhood education major have a certificate from a college for that kind of thing and oh gods...that video was awful to watch especially knowing about early childhood physical development and disabilities that can occur from mishandling of infants...In some orthodox churches baptizing is brutal.

Yes, twice actually, to the annoyance of my mother. I just remember the second occasion, which was redone when my father converted to Catholicism. Quite unnecessary of course and it rankled with my Anglican mother, but this was the 1950s when there was not nearly so much ecumenical respect between denominations, especially in Scotland where we lived at the time. I must have been 2 years old I think, so it is probably about my earliest memory - I recall the light coming through the stained glass, in St Cuthbert's , Slateford.I was baptised as a child in a evangelical-lutheran church. The OP is Norweigen.I know this will sound petty! But it is 'were you' not 'was you.' The educator in me says thank you

Well, you is plural so should be were.Yep, and English irregular-verb conjugations are not the most intuitive thing for many non-native speakers to begin with.

Thou is singular and would be more useful...
