Watchtower Governing Body: Are They The Exclusive Channel For God??

My next thread after my Jehovah Witness thread will show salvation by works written in their very own Rcc encyclopedia, not kidding, it very clearly teaches salvation by works, which is a false gospel, YHWH requires nothing less than 100% perfection, all who are attempting to earn their way in by keeping the law will perish eternally.
So no Jews, Muslims, Hindus, etc in heaven?

Not unless they believe Jesus is the Son of God.

And Jesus said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:23)

Wharton, are you ignoring what Jesus said?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

How many times, and in how many ways does Jesus have to say that heaven is for believers.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them. (John 3:36)

Why didnt the disciples recognise Jesus by his physical appearance?
John 20:14
Luke 24:15-31
Because it was hidden from them. No where does it say he changed his appearence so they wouldn't recognize them. The Watchtower again reads into the scriptures with their own theology putting things in there that it does not say

I never suggested that "mighty" was applied to only Jesus and Jehovah. The JW's claim Jesus is a mighty, and therefore, a lesser god than God almighty. They are wrong!

We'll let the Scriptures, the no spin zone, speak for themselves.

Isaiah 10:21
A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

Who is the mighty God in Isaiah 10:21?

Revelation 1:7-8 says, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him, and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

Who is the Almighty in Rev. 1:7-8?

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Who is the everlasting Father in Isaiah 9:6?

And finally, who is Immanuel in Isaiah 7:14, and what does Immanuel mean?

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

You are rooted so deeply in a thousand tiny missed conceptions that it is nearly impossible to pry your lose from your deception.

By the time one missed conception is dealt with you have jumped into another missed conception to throw a lock on the first missed conception.

I feel for you.

But you would have to be willing to listen at length to why the interpretations you use are not valid and be willing to come to see how you have been using those interpretations to imprison your mind away from the holy spirit.

And you will of course not do that.

That being the case, I am left seeing how and why you are wrong but unable to penetrate your wall of deception in order to help you see what I see.

You listen in tiny bits, just as Pegg often does.

Example: You say, "And finally, who is Immanuel in Isaiah 7:14, and what does Immanuel mean?"

You ought to know that at Isaiah the name was a sign, and not a designation of who the person serving as that sign was.

Until you let lose and become willing to reason you are beyond being reasoned with.

Why didn't they recognize Him by His physical appearance here also?

Mat 14:25-26 (ESVST) 25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear.

Mar 6:48-50 (ESVST) . And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50 for they all saw him and were terrified

Isaiah 10:21
A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

Jesus corresponds to the Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. Thus it is Israel that returns to God and yet not Israel as to the flesh, but Israel as one body in Christ, the greater Israel. Thus in Christ all are returned to God, even as Paul spoke about it, here, as follows: 1 Corinthians 15:
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Now that is how Christ as an Ark comparable to Noah's Ark, just as Peter talked about, transports us to God.

<><><><><><>

Enough for one post. In the same sense that Peter says Jesus is our Ark transporting us to our salvation back to God, Isaiah speaks of a highway of holiness. Jesus is that highway of holiness. And we travel that highway to get back to God.

In your last post to me, you accused me of spinning. So I was careful to only post Scripture and ask you questions. I must have hit a sore spot.

Why not deal with the verses I posted?

I asked simple, not difficult to answer, questions. You didn't answer a single one. Instead you attacked me.

So I will ask again.

John 20:16-17 (ESVST) ). 17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. (Can you cling to a spirit?)

Luke 24:36 (ESVST) 36 As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, " Peace to you!" (Does it say Jesus the Spirit, or Jesus Himself?)

Luke 24:39 (ESVST) 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. (Sounds to me like He has the same body that He died with.)

John 2:18-22 (ESVST) 18 So the Jews said to him, " What sign do you show us for doing these things?" 19 Jesus answered them, " Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." 20 The Jews then said, " It has taken forty- six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?" 21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken. (Jesus raised His body, not some spirit)

Act 2:29-31 (ESVST) 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. (STRONG) g1312. διαφθορά diaphthora; from 1311; decay:— corruption. AV (6)- corruption 6;
corruption, destruction in the NT that destruction which is effected by the decay of the body after death
)

Act 13:36-37 (ESVST) 36 For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption, 37 but he whom God raised up did not see corruption.

1Ti 2:5-6 (ESVST) 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all. (Why does it say the "MAN" Christ Jesus if He is a spirit?)

One could just as easily say it's nearly impossible to pry you from your deception as well. As I and others have been trying but you seem to imprison your mind away from the Holy Spirit

Yes, and I suppose I could have fired right back, but two wrongs don't make a right.

All I did was post Scripture and asked questions. I believe I hit a sore spot. Hence, the attack. :(

We need to all be praying night and day that God doesn't send us a strong delusion so that we believe a lie. It can happen to any of us.

.
Immanuel was not identifiable in Isaiah's day even though an Immanuel definitely was born in Isaiah's day, and the same would have been true in Mathew's day but for Matthew having told us exactly who that Emanuel was.

Jesus was never referred to as Immanuel by anyone other than Matthew. Immanuel was not his name per-say, but the name of the sign he represented.

Calling his name Immanuel is an old Hebrew expression with a similarity to, "will call his name blessed."

Except that using that expression carries with it the added connotation that all are blessed by that person's being blessed.

I answered you.

You just do not like my answers. That is just too bad, for I am equipped to know more about my own heritage than you

Umm he IS called Mighty God...
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Actually it says--his name will be called those things.

Jesus IS God...Jesus IS Not God.

None of you can Demonstrate what is Written that Jesus did and told his Followers TO DO.

The key= God gave to all to know what is truth------- he said--- This is my son the beloved in whom I am well pleased--LISTEN TO HIM.

Jesus teaches--John 20:17, Rev 3:12
