We Are All Born Muslim

I'm sure everyone will all agree that we are all born Muslim..
lol jk

In Islam everyone is born a Muslim and it is his/hers parents (along with social circles) that bring the child away from Islam.

The Prophet (saws) said that every child is born in Fitrah. In Islam this means a state of purity and connection to God.

When I say God I mean the ultimate force that gives us life not a bearded guy in the clouds.

In Islam it is not looked at as a religion but just the natural way of life. We are the worlds most looked down upon and knowing that raises me up.

The concept of the purity of a child has been given in God's former and later Faiths.

No child makes a decision about faith until the age of maturity where they get to decide.

This is what the Bible offered in relation to what it is like to be a child in Faith;

Matthew 18:3 "And said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Thus it is plain all these verses are saying one must be like a child, yet to be influenced by what other men have offered about God and what scripture means. A purity of heart is what is needed above all else.

This must also the Quran meaning, as we must also take the Quran passages that say there is no compulsion in religion.

Baha'u'llah has comfirmed this view.

Yeah I was totally serious in that sentence lol.

I did notice the "lol" on the next line in the OP. And the "lol" in the end of this line.

But I was serious. I do see this as a similarity in Muslim and Hinduism "Surrender to God". Was not a "lol" reply of mine

I never heard the claim "that all babies are atheists"; it's a nice claim. Probably atheist are not that big on proselytizing.
From my earliest memories, I never believed in any gods or religion. Especially not the one taught to me, still don't believe that one. It took me decades when I experienced God to become theist.

Islam was around billions of years before Hinduism. IMO! So no.

My pleasure, great to have you here.

On the other hand I know I was born with all the potential that Allah could give. In the age of Muhammad, that would be the potential of what Muhammad taught, or what a true Muslim could obtain to.

Thus I do underatand what you have offered, just from a different frame of reference as a Baha'i.

Peace be with you always, regards Tony

Of course. We all were. lol

Don't be ridiculous. You really think I was born with an innate belief that prophets can fly to Heaven on a winged horse? Ot that black meteorites are stones thrown by a god in the desert? Or that I need to wear things trying to look like Batman, or the phantom of the opera? LOL

You are close to insult my intelligence, which is the worst kind of insult you can do to me.

Our meaning of God are different. How do we exist? Some form of energy or life creating force. Whether you believe its an intelligent source or just chaotic.. You can't deny there is something because you are here breathing. That source of energy I call God. Call it what you want but that's what I call it.

What do you mean "our"? Who are you claiming to speak for?

Sure, I can claim a rock is God, or a tree, the sun, the entire universe. The way people use the word God, it can mean anything.

In your case "ultimate force that gives us life". So would you agree we, humans don't really know what that is?

What if the force that gave us life is no longer around. Maybe whatever it was "created" the universe and moved on to other universes giving this one no second thought.

Well, it's probably better. To say that everybody is born a Muslim, is child abuse. Which is something not even your prophet seem to have had problems with, apparently.

But he represents Islam - just as all religious people and atheists do when they post on public fora such as this. They're representatives of their beliefs, orthodoxies and philosophies even if they're not trying to convert anyone

Perhaps he represents his version of islam, that is not the islam i know
