We Are Alone in the Universe!

Actually, that is very poorly argued.

In fact, since we know for certain that life exists right here, right now, it is not only statistically probable that life arises -- it is a statistical certainty.

And for that reason, with quite literally hundreds of billions of other worlds on which it might happen, it seems extremely likely that it did.
Prove it. Just because life evolved here prove then it did evolved at least evolved to our level on another planet. No, prove to me that single cell organisms have evolved on other planets.

Basically, what you've just proposed is that we should make assumptions based on nothing.
The opposite. I don't believe in god based on the lack of evidence and the complete absurdity of the idea actually existing and I apply the same criteria to intelligent alien life. I like Star Trek too but I realize that it is fantasy and not fact.

Have we seen any evidence that intelligent life exist anywhere else but here?

Have we seen any evidence that life doesn't exist elsewhere?

We should be getting reruns of alien versions of I Love Lucy by now if they progress to a technological level to invent radio or television.

Do you have any idea how big the universe is?

Of all the radio/tv signals transmitted on earth the oldest has only reached 125 light years. Our own galaxy is over 52000 light years. We have not yet reached 0.3% of our own galaxy.

There was evidence and people didn't see it yet. This isn't just about that lack of evidence that intelligent alien life but the ample evidence that intelligent alien life does not exist.

What is this evidence? I have a feeling that you do not understand the concept. And from your OP, no, it is not a "fact" that God exists. That is a claim that is not supported by reliable evidence.

Prove it didn't
Only evidence I have is statistical and I know it isn't absolute proof but it is evidence and it is better than having absolutely no evidence because it is at least somewhat objective rather than being speculative. I trust the evidence that we have. Sorry.

I have nothing to prove because I didn't make such a claim -- perhaps you should read what I wrote again.

I responded DIRECTLY and in kind to your declaration about probabilities. And that is all. And I ended by stating -- not that life evolved elsewhere -- that it is statistically very likely that it did. And that argues for itself, because here we are, having a conversation about it.

And the statistical evidence that you have is that life did indeed arise on at least one planet, orbiting at least one star. That is a certainty.

You think you are doing statistics, but I think you need to take a bit of a look at how statistics actually works.

Statistics are quite often misapplied in such debates and usually end up in the logical fallacy of an argument from ignorance.

And if you claim to have statistics you need to be able to show the math.

There is absolutely no evidence that intelligent and/or complex life exists elsewhere in the universe. So we must assume that we are alone in the universe and must be the only intelligent life that exist in it. Couple that with the fact that God does not exist, I feel somewhat sad and more convince that life is indeed absurd.

Every planet has its own creatures, we are not alone.

God is.

We are not far from finding there is more to life than a human self.

And I did show the actual ****ing math! I understand the probability of winning the goddamn lottery once or twice or even a 100 times but hitting the numbers a trillion times. That is some crazy and it is not going to happen.

The gods not existing is a fact, huh? By extension, this means you believe nothing exists and everything is an illusion. Not really my cup of tea, but I guess if you want to go that route it isn't really a far cry from denying the reality of life on other planets that you don't believe exist anyway...

That only demonstrates a lack of understanding of statistics. Tell me, which post was that in?

Okay. That may be the case, but you have been arguing as a Christian, Jew, or Muslim would.
Yeah right. Theist always argue the argue since we have no evidence that such a thing exist therefore we must not believe that such thing exist. I think not. ng from their point of you, dude. PRESENT EVIDENCE THAT INTELLIGENT ALIENS EXIST!

Who said that? And your logic is faulty.
