Ooo. I want to try. Staff at group home have cooking as one of my goals. I shall insist on staff having me make this
When you chunk the chicken, coat the chunks with a mixture of 4 tablespoons corn starch, 1.5 teaspoon salt, and a .75 teaspoon pepper for every pound of chicken before you sautee it.

Pork steak is the main course tonight. Some people cut off the fat but I think that's the best part.
Edit: just caught my wife trying to feed the fat to the dog!

What food do you eat that seems weird to other people? Im eating fish eggs. In this case, fried eggs from a crappie we caught.
I also love fried deer heart.
I've eaten crow before. Don't really care for it, but I'm sure I will eat it again.

Hmmm. I don't know how weird it is, but I like anchovies, squid, octopus and escargot. Haven't eaten fried crappie eggs, but I have eaten lumpfish, salmon, flying fish and smelt eggs.

Does liver count as a weird food?

I have to agree with you about that fat. It's not health food, but it is delicious.

Let's see...another surprisingly good combination: chunks of chicken seasoned and sauteed with dried cherries, salt & pepper, with some spinach or arugula thrown in at the end, served with pasta dressed with butter, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and lots of nutmeg, topped with some toasted pecans and parmesan cheese. (you can also splash the balsamic vinegar on at the table, just don't cook it with the chicken and cherries as the cherries will absorb all of the vinegar.)
Good grief, that sounds awesome!

That doesn't sound half bad! Broccoli is by far my favorite pizza topping.

If you liked that, there are a lot of West African stew recipes you might enjoy. Peanut butter is a really common ingredient in a lot of cooked dishes from that region.

That's how my husband felt, until I found a bunch of recipes that had it baked into it, one for cornmeal mush in particular. He still won't eat it raw, but does enjoy it cooked.
I've eaten cottage cheese since I was a kid. I find it's a pretty good base to use with fresh fruit or vegetables. Sometimes I just eat it with salt and pepper for added flavor.

I can have honey mustard with a bunch of foods. I like honey mustard with chips, fries, hamburger, chicken and pizza. I have liked honey mustard mixed with hot sauce probably from taco bell. I can have taco bell hot sauces with a bunch of stuff as well.

I've tried mealworm recently.
It's supposed to be a cheap and more sustainable protein source in the future. But it's pretty expensive now.

I don’t know if I eat too many weird or unusual foods or combinations. I do like peanut or almond butter and honey mixed in oatmeal. I really like nutritional yeast on popcorn or rice cakes w/butter.

Aspic is basically bone broth served cold and the natural collagen allowed to gel. It's like savory jello and was used as a summer meal for a long time. Especially on subsistence farms like what I grew up on.
Lots of people put veggies and meat in it, making it kind of a soup jello, but mostly I put the only other abundant resource in it: egg.

I never ate crow. I have had muskrat and beaver and bobcat. IDK, liver is normal, I think, but I'm not crazy about it. Supposed to be good for you however. Had Crayfish, but the wild ones don't have much meat.

I was being a little...well not sardonic, but similar. Eating crow is an old saying for having to admit one is wrong about something. Never actually ate real crow. I've hunted them.

I've eaten possum and racoon, but no muskrat, beaver or bobcat. I've heard that puma is pretty tasty. I like liver. Always have since I was a kid. A friends compared it to eating the oil filter on a car. I don't think he liked liver.

I love crayfish. Camping on an Ozark stream and boiling a pot of them for supper is awesome. We have a couple of species that get fairly large. They make the best catch.

I've seen some pretty elaborate looking examples that have a fair quantity and variety of vegetables in them.
