Exactly! Thank you. One rule for one people and another rule for other people.

One rule for a people who live in a land of plenty, and another rule for a people who live in a land of limited resources.

Truth hurts doesn't it? There is a reason why you guys have the highest number of people in prison in the world, it's because americans are out of control freaks. Even your govt is twisted and sadistic. What kind of people hatch plans to spy one every single person in the world? Oh yeah, americans.

Your infantile resentment is adorable. :flirt:

Mmmhm, let me see why...oh yes, America protects them from China and NK and buys enormous amounts of product from Japanese suppliers. Are you American?

I am American, of Northern European decent, who lives in America most of the time and I have a house in China and I have not had any problems with racism there either. Although I have seen some classism in China.

Vestvinlandburthr, so in that sense, yes.

But that's not why they loved us. They loved our culture, our films, our music, etc, just like we have a thriving Otaku subculture here that likely couldn't care less about politics. When we went, the only piece of politics I saw was a sticker my host brother had that read "**** BUSH!"

Again, I'm not talking about government. I'm talking about PEOPLE.

Even still, since Americans are not Japanese, then if they were truly an extremely racist people, they'd have resented us.

....are you just bitter about Mother 3?

I really don't get what you're talking about. Are you talking about life in Japan? And what is Vestvinlandburthr, a typo?

Perhaps you don't get what I'm talking about since it's such a strong contradiction to what you had thus far believed about Japan?

And what is Vestvinlandburthr, a typo?

West-Vinland-Born. I don't identify as American.

American society, despite it's rough edges, does seem more innovative, diverse, fluid and adaptable, whereas other societies do seem to be a bit more homogeneous and stagnant.

Lol. Oh yeah? All of them? You've traveled extensively, have you? Experienced all the societies first-hand?

You can't fit Americans neatly into a box. There are different cultures, different ages, different ways people are raised, etc. I've met polite and impolite Americans. I've met greedy Americans and Americans who are not greedy. There are many, many different accents. Some are sheep-like while others are unique and follow their own paths.

Nah, it was confusing because first I thought you were talking about Japan but then you said "a thriving Otaku subculture here", and I thought to myself, where? and what?

Sure didn't take long for the America bashers to start waving their well-informed stereotypes around.

Not sure what it says about Americans, but that sure says a lot about some people living outside of this country.

I forgot to add "incredibly thin-skinned, over-sensitive and intolerant of criticism, and unversed in the joys of self-deprecating cultural humour" to my list. :p

And it remains my point.

There was nothing political about their love for us whatsoever. It was purely social.

And you haven't answered: are you just bitter about Mother 3?

Well obviously there was more than one person making anti-American comments. Apparently the world revolves around Canadians since they are the only ones people are talking about, or they have a very guilty conscious. :flirt:

You still haven't explained what on earth you're talking about? Where is there a so-called thriving subculture of whatever it was? And what does that have to do with Japan?

Considering your own penchant for presumptions, exagerations, and generalizations, I find a your rhetorical question to be rather ironic.

Otaku culture is worldwide. An otaku is someone who loves Japanese culture, particularly games and anime. It's derived from the Japanese word for nerd.

If you still don't understand what that is, then tsukini kawatte oshiokiou!!

Nice non-answer. The UK is a tiny little rock barely bigger than Vancouver island, but they have FIVE regions where many people feel so different from "the English" that people talk seriously about separatism. How is that for homogenous?
