My last cat (who finally was put down because she was suffering heart-failure at 17 years old) used to love being brushed -- but only for so long. A moment longer, and I was likely to get a good swat or even a bite. And then, an hour later, she'd come back, present the other side, and invite me to begin again.

Cats really do rule, you know. If you're going to have them, you just have to learn to obey.
Haha yes! One of ours runs (in fact it's the only time he actually runs) to his "salon blanket" at the mere sight of his brush. Then you can brush him till he falls into a blissful stupor. But so much as even try to brush the other cat and he'd most likely take your face off.
They're all different....

Princess is beautiful!
I got her at a shelter 50 miles west of here. She had been there for nine months. It was a no-kill shelter and they would not adopt her out to anyone unless they knew about Persians. I was so lucky to find her. She is a show quality Persian. Persians don't usually last a day in shelters because they are in such great demand.

Nova is exceptional, too.

They're all very pretty, though.

What's different with Persian care?

Hi Silky :)
OMG in a box! again!! Is he your avatar?
OK. Madame Serious. Look at that coat, too. Gorgeous.
Eeek! I love the cats and their boxes. That is too funny. :joycat:
The apex predator, in their natural habitat... Hello up there.
I promised you cat photos and I always keep my promises, so here they come.
Yes. You have certainly kept your promise. I am now officially super-duper-duper happy. That was fun, thanks for sharing.

Nova is also a show quality Persian and his color is shaded silver chinchilla.
What is different with Persian care is all the combing that is required lest they get matted like Simon did.

Aw. so sweet.
Busia is sweet till you try to comb her, then she is a tiger.
so adorable, and in a box, ready to go
The only place she is going is chasing Busia.
She is the oldest, 16, the only one of my original cats that are left.
OMG in a box! again!! Is he your avatar?
Yes, that is Simon in the avatar. I adopted him a year ago.
OK. Madame Serious. Look at that coat, too. Gorgeous.
Yes, madam Ellie, she is always the first one on the bed, I mean couch, and she stays with me all night.
Eeek! I love the cats and their boxes. That is too funny. :joycat:
Yes, Carl is a box cat for sure. He is usually in a box, not on a box.

That is Nova who rules the roost. He is my smallest male cat and he is very skittish.

I wasn't going to do it but then at the last minute I decided I had better do it because I promised.

I edited a few books on AI / machine learning. I'm curious to know what math topics you're covering, if it won't give away your secret sauce.

In no particular order:
  • Linear algebra (especially matrices and vectors)
  • Multivariate calculus (with a focus on partial differential equations)
  • Statistics and probability (especially distribution types and their characteristics, hypothesis testing, and measures of dispersion)
  • Combinatorics.
There are more subtopics, but these are the main ones.

@Truthseeker

Thanks for pointing out that there were only seven photos of the cats, although I have eight cats.
I now know what happened. I had the photos of cats in boxes but since Atticus was never in a box, his photo was not in that folder. Here he is:
