Obvs in touch with your Northern roots…..;)

Remind me to make chicken and mushroom pie when you next visit. It’s one of my son’s favourites.

Do you make your own sauce? In the UK i used Campbells condensed cream of mushroom soup. Delicious. It's not available here so i make my own... For some reason it doesn't taste as good as the canned stuff.

That can't be right, I've just bought a corduroy shirt to pair with my corduroy trosers.
Trosers? Wot dey? Sound vaguely Scottish. :D

Yeah, I’ve now got 5 corduroy shirts . Very warm for winter when worn with a sweater. I’m trying to get used to a cooler setting of the heating to save CO2 emissions. I also have 2 old pairs corduroy trousers.

But then, unlike you perhaps, I’m not trying to pull the birds these days…

Ok, I've swapped the trosers for trousers! :grinning:

Yes, corduroy is very nice when there's a chill in the air.

I'm not trying to pull the birds or having fantasies about models. ;)

I adapted a recipe for Kentish pudding, which is a chicken, bacon and mushroom version of steak and kidney pud, i.e. suet pastry. Has thyme chicken stock and white wine in it, and thickened with a bit of flour.

Only problem is getting hold of butter puff pastry. Sainsbury’s has stopped it for some reason. They have become noticeably erratic and less adventurous with their ranges since Brexit, though I don’t know if it is connected. I don’t like the stuff made with hydrogenated oil. Baint naaatchral, if you ask me.

What are you doing? (Besides posting on RF)

Just finished talking to a friend about her invitation to me to co-host her planned podcast. I'm excited about the idea and flattered that she invited me.

What would you rather be doing?

Nothing other than this. I enjoy talking to her, so that's what I'd rather be doing right now if I were doing something else.

What would you rather not do?

Sleep too early and ruin my sleep schedule again. (I'm sleepy at the moment.)

Bout to take a caffeine nap. I drank a lot of sleep sleep juice(coffee). Now sleepy. Nothing I'd rather do caffeine naps are the bomb.

Note: I have ADHD coffee makes me sleepy.
