I'm back on Disgaea again. I thought my characters weren't good enough before, so now my current best character has about 1.3 million attack. Just for no reason.

I have been playing steady (127:45 hours). I am trying to keep all the characters up to King Lahari's level. The game is forever. Anyone who is interested in strategy RPGs should look into this game. There is a lot to do and a lot of gaming for the dollar.

I picked up the decent squad-based shooter Star Wars: Republic Commando from a bargain bin yesterday. It's good for a jaunt.

My current strongest character does about 3.5 million damage in a single attack, and I have several other characters who can do over two million damage.

I also have over 75% item acquisition, a best single attack of 4.5 million, a best attack combo of 8.5 million, and a best geo combo of 8.5 million.

I'm at about 150 hours in, too.

Oh yes, Disgaea 2 has been ported to PSP in Japan. Hopefully, an english version will be along soon. Then the madness can start afresh.

Earlier today I had a pretty sweet 3000 point Warhammer 40k Apocalypse battle. Two of my friends playing 1500 points of Imperial Guard and Daemonhunters versus my 2000 points Death Guard Chaos Marines with 1000 points Nurgle Daemons. I'm not so sure sweet is the word when I had the game sort of in the bag by turn 2 (For those familiar with warhams, Epidemius is BROKEN in Apocalypse.), but it was fun watching the Grey Knights slaughter my daemons like nothing, only to watch them come back the next turn.

Right now though, I'm playing Dwarf Fortress. This game is awesome, but takes forever to get the hang of. I'm still in the learning phase.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Halo wars at present, but it sucks in the sense that there is no way to toggle unit behavior. Otherwise its a pretty good game.

I'm currently playing the Elder Scrolls games, going back and forth between all four main games: Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.

(WARNING: Incoming Ramble!)

Arena, for those of you who've never played it, is sort of like a mix between Zelda and Dungeons and Dragons in first person. The game is primarily controlled with the mouse, with point-and-click movements and menu selection. Like most retro RPGs, it takes a bit to get into, and it's pretty much required that the manual is read. Luckily, there's an online manual. ^_^ The game was recently made into a free download by Bethesda. :woohoo: It's fun, but rather difficult to run because of its age; it really can only be played with DOSBox, a DOS emulator for Windows, and even then it is very buggy and laggy at times. (don't play it if your computer has been on all day and you don't have an external fan)

Daggerfall is really where the series took off. The game has the deepest character creation in a computer or video game I've ever seen, and even a background generation that gives you a back story you can read. The size of the world is to scale, which means you're, as is proudly advertised on the box :)D) travelling around a world the size of Great Britain. There are hundreds of thousands of towns and NPCs to interact with, and six endings depending on choices. Unfortunately, the game has aged horribly, and is nearly impossible to run, even with DOSBox. Like Arena, it suffers from lag, and some of the thieving skills are next to useless. There are many things that don't work right, and exploring the overworld is a waste of time because you'd be travelling on a flat land with nothing interesting happening for 30 minutes. ("Fast travel" is in the game) So it's a great game for its time, but has not aged well at all.

I'm sure Morrowind and Oblivion need no ramblings. Well, okay. They're both great. End of ramble. :D

Fallout 3 and finally got stuck into the story. But for real this time. I never want it to end!!!
I had about 4 hours of sleep last night and the night before that wasn't that much different. I am at the point where I am making up sidequests from sidequests just to keep going..:help:

BTW, Azakel, I asume you play it on the XBOX360.. How does that work out for you?

I mean, I obviously play it on my PC as I am a graphicwhore.. And there is a FPS shooting feeling, but the game also has enough layback moments to want my comfy chair so once in a while..

It works really good, then again I'm use to FPS on consoles(don't have a good computer for gaming). Plus I use V.A.T.S. quite a bit..... or the Fat Man, you done really need to aim with that all the time.
