Hopefully you can tell me why everybody seemingly loves this game. I played it for 10 minutes and won't shed a tear if I ever pick up this game again.
I've only played about 10 minutes so far and I'm not really digging it yet. Of course I am also comparing this game to RE4's standards and I don't think this game will reach that, but who knows.

I'll keep you posted though. ;)

I really love the res evil series, but for me the storyline just got lame. In spite of that, if the game play itself were more akin to the conflict series in the way that an AI. buddy is controlled, I might just have have stuck with it longer.

I perpetually hate games that are, for one reason or other, programmed with "sticky" buddies who will forever get in the way, not listen to commands, get stuck, trigger unwanted enemy attention, and otherwise impede advancement.

I've gotta admit, I preferred RE2 and RE3 to RE4. I've not got to play 5 yet though, but I was kinda disappointed with RE4! I seem to be the only one who thinks that though...

Heh :D
Especially when they can die, eh?

I'm sure a good number of gamers remembers our ole' Socom buddy Boomer with fondness eh? :D

The evil programmers however (I surmise in retaliation) invented some games where they simply CAN'T die...or else the missions over... AAAARGGGGHHHHH!!!!:banghead3

Recently borrowed Left 4 Dead from a friend of mine, and I have a hard time keeping away from it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a wireless adapter for my XBOX, so I can't play on Live. I guess I'll just have to make due with the semi-good partner A.I. Still an amazingly fun and addicting game. (Though FRUSTRATING on the harder difficulties; a few hours ago I got done playing through the Dead Air campaign on Advanced difficulty, and I died A LOT, mostly from those bloody Tanks.)

A 6-string Art & Luthrie spruce top w/ starburst red finish. Alison (my other half) plays a fiddle that's been in her family for over 120 years, and she recently frankenstiend together a viola with a cello string, two viola strings and a violin string so she could tune it as a fiddle but at one octave lower. Way fun.

Not sure if this is a joke or not, but this is in the Entertainment/Games forum - so mainly video games are discussed here, but I'm sure board games and the like could be, too.

Sorry, it's technically true, and I knew it wasn't inline with the thread, but I thought it was just a lighthearted post. Sorry, didn't mean to actually derail on purpose.

Wasn't sure whether to respond with a clarification or a :biglaugh: The latter would be quite rude if it were a mistake.

Now that I am sure... :biglaugh:

Let me know what you think of these games compared to Ar Tonellico 2. Did you play the first two? Do you have to play the first two to understand the third one?

I haven't played much of Atelier Iris 3 yet. In spite of being made by the same company (Gust), and have the same systems (alchemy in particular) the background and setting are completely different - Ar Tonelico 2 is a serious, far-future science fiction game with a lot of interesting ideas (there are some light moments in there, certainly), while Atelier Iris is a light-hearted fantasy.
