The House That Horror Built, by Christina Henry was what I picked up last night. Only one chapter in, so it hasn't grabbed me as yet.

Gerald's Game, by Stehen King is up next.

"On a warm weekday in October, in the lovely summer home of Gerald and Jessie Burlingame, a game is about to begin. It's a game to be played between husband and wife, and a game that has Jessie being innocently handcuffed to the bedposts. Then in one horrible, violent act, Gerald is dead and Jessie ----- well, she's alone and still chained to the bed.

But Jessie's about to have company that goes beyond all of her worst nightmares."

Currently reading - Every Breath You Take: A user's guide to the atmosphere (2019) by Mark Broomfield. As one might imagine, not exactly gripping, but he does well to put the science across as to the essential things to know - that we can't play around with what is our basic lifeline to existence. Will not be read by so many though, given it might disrupt much of their thinking.
OK, skipped some as too technical, but I apparently agree with his last few words - that we will have to alter our behaviour if we want a decent Earth to live on in the future - as to not travelling as much as we have become accustomed, and solving the more urgent problems rather than letting them build up. With some major players not doing so well in this regard - looking at you China and India.

Vector Prime. I didn't get to finish the New Jedi Order series back then so I am now.
I HATE RA Salvatore because of this book.

I also hate Disney discarded the true and well established Star Wars cannon. Apparently Vector Prime was a major reason for that, but it was still wrong.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I am part of two book clubs so I am reading two books. The Aeneid by Virgil and The Lager Queen of Minnesota by J. Ryan Stradal. They are super different but I like that. And neither are books I would pick up on my own so yay!

Spooky Season is just about done, so I'm making the switch to my November theme that combines Indigenous Month with American Thanksgiving. From one of the authors of People of the Wolf, I'm about to begin It Sleeps In Me, by Kathleen O'Neal Gear, a trilogy of the Black Falcon Nation.
