Yourself? That's what my parents told/taught me.
Gnosticism, Orphism, forms of Hinduism and some other religions have salvation teachings.

I was aware of Gnosticism and that's it for those. Still, I wouldn't say the first two are widely known, recognised faiths. Or at least, not here.
Orphism is an ancient Hellenic mystery religion founded by the mythical poet and musician, Orpheus. It was influenced by Dharmic ideas and is similar to Gnosticism. They worship Dionysus as a savior deity.
How can you be confident that you believe in the Truest one if this is the case?

To you sir yes, I understand your point; however for me, I strongly believe in what Christianity stands for.
What about myself would one need to be saved from? I could see that if one were not happy with oneself and had low self-confidence one might feel this way. At present, I'm pretty happy with myself and my life and am not sure what I'd need saving from in this regard.
Nonsense. I need more matzah. It's so darned hard to get around here! Particularly matzah meal (unsalted, in the canister) to make matzo ball soup with!

Heh... I'm not. Just asking the question and interested in learning some different perspectives. The whole "saving" thing is tough for this little Druid to wrap their head around.

I think this is worth expanding on because most religions who have the 'save from yourself' don't actually mean it that way. Rather save you from the thing that's preventing you from being yourself. Your true self. Be it sin, Satan, Ha-Satan, Thetans, Ego and Disunity or in all cases things which are considered unnatural or suboptimal. And most don't actually think they can save you, only that you can decide to be saved. Though most also believe they need to make you aware of the danger or suboptimal thing preventing you from being yourself.

I love trees. At school when I was really young the teacher read us a poem about how trees wave when it's windy and the tree narrating the poem was upset because no-one ever waved back, so I started waving back at them.Unless it involves trees.

I am confident that I am Christian if that is what you ask; I know some religions believes, however I cannot state I know all the beliefs.
Perhaps another religion is symmetrical to my beliefs, however I still present myself as a Christian.
