this is because your ignorant to history

Oh what a scathing/devastating rebuttal.....I would go "ouch"....if not for the clear and obvious fact that each and every gambit you raised has been refuted to the point of indefensibility.
Therefore you resort to blipvert lame insult.

The “drought” explanation makes no sense.

4.2 kiloyear event - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 4.2 kiloyear BP aridification event was one of the most severe climatic events of the Holocene period in terms of impact on cultural upheaval.[1] Starting in ≈2200 BC, it probably lasted the entire 22nd century BC. It is very likely to have caused the collapse of the Old Kingdom in Egypt as well as the Akkadian Empire in Mesopotamia.[2] Also, the drought may have initiated southeastward habitat tracking within the Harappan cultural domain.[

*wakes up*

Has Wombat presented his ultimate proof yet?

Wombat never claimed to have "proof" let alone "ultimate proof".

Wombat entered the discussion rejecting the notion of 'proof' of God and proposing that evidence is still available in the absence of proof.

But please....don't you go letting the facts get in the way of good old disingenuous misrepresentation designed with no other intent than to avoid the argument/issue/questions and evidence while attempting lame ad hom.

;)

No one is claiming the drought did not occur or deny its impact on civilizations at the time.

But as an explanation for Judaism being the sole surviving major living faith from the period...it makes no sense.

Nor does it explain the paralel circumstances/events surrounding subsequent major faiths and dead religion horses.

PS.....Have you noticed the pattern of your (individual/collective) steadfast refusal to answer direct and pertinent questions?....Even those questions that seek exploration and elaboration of your own povs?

If I keep asking this question and providing evidence thereto...and you guys keep ignoring it...what happens to the credibility of the lipservice paid to- Critical Thinking, reason, logic and objective empirical evidence?

again if you had any knowledge at all of pre biblical history you would know the drought did not effect judaism in any way as it was a thousand years before they existed

this is not your thread and we are not playing your game

this thread is about proof for god and so far after page after page, you dont even have weak evidence

Which is why I am pointing out your drought arguement makes no sense.

A drought contributes to knocking out reliions/civilizations prior to one of the Major Faiths running on.......>so what<?

We have the names of hundreds of dead gods/fallen religions >BEFORE< >DURING< and >AFTER< the advent of each Major Living Faith...so drought killed some and disease killed others and war and enslavement and exile........and you can spend all day examining the minutiae of why the fallen religions fell.....>it makes no difference< to the argument and the evidence.
>ALL< the contending and potentially contending religions fell....and left a handful of isolated sequential runners....1.......1....1....1....1.....1........
“drought’ does not explain this anomaly.

I'll be away here-

could you try and be more clear because so far ,,, no one follows your little game here. you will have to word this differently to make any sense at all.

your only point is that people are religious by nature so there must be a god.

that is not evidence, its not even weak evidence of any kind.

now take the debate away,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

:) enjoy your trip bud , looks like fun and its beautiful

Ahhhhhhh.......one hour to transport........why not waste it.

Outhouse....all the lame ad hom and personalised digs and pretence of "game" and evasion and blatant misrepresentation isn't going to change anything nor save the day for you.

But the desperation of pleading ignorance must be admired for its validity-

you will have to word this differently to make any sense at all..

No. The meaning is clear and clearly articulated- ....1......1.....1......1....1....1...
reflects the pattern and sequence of the worlds Major Living Faith traditions...it is a pattern/sequence unique and unmatched in any other field of 'human endevour'.

See numerous prior posts for extrapolation, elaboration and explanation.

If, at this stage, you do not comprehend the core points, argument and evidence, I cannot help you other than to suggest, yet again, that actually >reading< and thinking about what the other is saying- combined with a willingness to answer
pertinent questions...goes a long way to enhancing understanding.;)

your only point is that people are religious by nature so there must be a god..

No.:( That statement reflects >nothing< of what I have said/argued.

that is not evidence, its not even weak evidence of any kind...

It is evidence only that you have not understood the argument/evidence.

now take the debate away,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

No........I take myself away:D To the end of the world and the mythical realm that is Tasmania. There (and here on 'the big island') the oldest continious living culture in the world- The Australian Aboriginals, had 40- 60,000+ uninterupted/ uninhibited years to invent, develop, evolve and spread a Major Living Faith.
Even when they had developed food resourses that far surpassed the quantity, variety and nutrition of the crown heads of Europe...they did not do so. They stuck to Annimist/Native Belief...the bedrock of all religion.

The Major Living Faiths came only from a narrow geographical region and only in isolated sucession. There....I cannot "be more clear".

:) enjoy your trip bud , looks like fun and its beautiful

Ahhhhhhhhhhh my good man......that it is....but not half as "fun and beautiful" as the wife of thirty years who is taking me there!:shout:D:cool:

Fair enough.

Have you presented your "evidence" yet?
All I have seen is some song and dance about probabilities.
Since I am not in that particular choir, I was wondering if perhaps you have presented anything worthy of non-choir members to look at?

Just because you cant understand something, doesn't mean that i can never be understood. I think the Egyptians had no idea on how to reach space whenever they look at the sky. That's why the scientists are trying to understand our world. And Earth still have about 5 billion years to go. But it can still be extended if the human race can migrate to another planet. :D
