My half-brother from my mom is apparently a Jew of a sort, I guess. My mom's first marriage was to a Jew and they got divorced and her ex-husband married a Jewish and he was raised Jewish after that. But my mom is a Christian and she refused to converted to Judaism, so my half-brother has a Gentile mother, but he lives as a Jew and he apparently married a Jewish woman. Whatever. I don't care. I don't have any contact with him.

I probably have the wrong month, but I know the year, regardless of the calendar being used. I’m referring to the burning of the Temple. The burning of the Temple was not authorized by the emperor of Rome. You do know who authorized it, a much higher power.
Yes, I know what my tradition teaches about the fire. Also, just so you know, the dating according to Kantor's Jewish Timeline Encyclopedia has it in 69, not 70.

I was brought up with the date 70CE. I thought it was unusual that Kantor has it at 69 so I figured I would pass it along. He has plenty of sources.

Some web sites are saying the year 70, others the year 69. I’m familiar with the year 70. Yes, I looked it up today. I don’t understand the discrepancy.

Your tradition teaches it was an act of God that took that Temple down. I know bites and pieces of your tradition, granted not as much I would like to.

Your tradition teaches the Temple was taken down by God. Because of division, infighting. YES, division. Herod’s Temple was not the second Temple. The second Temple is Ezekiel’s Temple, yet to be built. Why do you think the dimensions are so big?
