I would also say that an anti-semite would be considered someone who is against Jews. An interesting question would be, why is someone anti-Jewish? I believe Jews have been a boon to humanity and by the way they didn't start the plague nor do they eat gentile children.
While Jews are approximately 0.25% of the world's population, Jews make up approximately 22% of all Nobel Prize laureates worldwide. So I would say statisticly they are the cream of the crop. I think that any anti-Jew, if he were hanging from the edge of a cliff would gladly take the hand of any Jew that would help him to safety. Just my 2 cents.

I see anti-semitism on a fairly constant basis, living in the Northeast of the United States (where a lot of Jewish people live). And right now I am having an incredibly hard time figuring out how you are not an anti-Semite, Vendetta. When Caladan pointed out the pointlessness of your topic, you attacked his Jewishness. In fact, you went for the stereotypical, Jew's think they are better than gentiles, attack. I see too much of this subtle **** in my everyday life. I have know Caladan for a long-time on these forums, and I have never seen him look down on non-Jews. Yes, there are many Jews who are prejudice against gentiles (my best friend's family is like that), but unless you can provide evidence of Caladan being prejudice, there is no other conclusion than that you yourself are prejudice.

I would say from a secular viewpoint your statement would be the obvious conclusion. But from a Christian view I believe God has blessed the Jewish people abundantly.

When was the last time anyone was punished (outside of Israel) for attacking a Synagogue? When was the last time a group of Jews attacked a mosque? The gallows comment was sarcasim stemming from the usual comments in the world press condemning Israel and excusing those who attack them.

What ignorance there is in the world today. It is a lie that still holds massive sway in Europe, unfortunately. First to say that Jews are too powerful is a silly generalisation. There are many wealthy Jews in the United States (though many Jews in Israel are lower-class, since their middle-class is shrinking), but there are also many poor and middle-class Jewish families as well. Secondly, wealth does not protect you from racism. My best friend has complained to me on many occasions about all the stupid **** people say to her. How does making someone feel like an outsider because of their ethnicity, not constitute racism?

I don't have answers to your questions, but they don't defeat my contention that Jews are relatively powerful & secure.
Just look at the US & their tremendous influence in Hollywood & government. Israel is quite secure, with US assistance & guarantees of defense.
Sure, sure, some Jews suffer some anti-Jewish acts, but Bahais suffer anti-Bahai acts, Muslims suffer at the hands of US border guards, atheists
are pretty much locked out of public office in the US, Xians are claiming oppression around the world, etc, etc. Jews don't seem to suffer relatively.
