what do you feel should have been in the bible but isn't?

I think it should have had a line claiming it to be based on a true story or claiming it to be fiction
More details of jesus, like what colour does he like best, what colour was his beard etc.
a beter explaination how the sin systeem works

what do you think should have been in it?

The bible should contain the following forward:

" Please dont believe anything you read in this collection of old books. The authors all had their own agendas and so did the various translators and copiers who have been involved in its production. It might be quite useful as a source of historical clues about some of the people who lived in the middle east between about 5000bc an 100ad, but that is all."

The cover should carry the following health warning:

"DANGER, reading this collection of books may result in the reader engaging in or being a party to WAR, MURDER, HOMOPHOBIA, SEXISM, RACISM, BIGOTRY, TORTURE, TERRORISM, CHILD ABUSE and many other unpleasant and undesirable traits."

:biglaugh:

Now that would be rather self-defeating, now wouldn't it? :p

Perhaps it would be more fitting to precede each of your posts? :D

However, I just don't find Scripture lacking in any way. Everything you need to know about yourself and God is right there, if you let the Spirit guide you into it's truth and meaning. Most who mock it have their own agenda of paranoia, arrogance and theophobia.

I have found this to be true - arrogance compounded by an odd mixture of stupidity and ignorance. These vices working together in disorganized dissonance distributes destitute, dubious deliberations concerning Scripture.:slap:

I do wish that the Bible included something against sexual exploitation and slavery, other than that it's practically perfect in every way. Perhaps a Dixie Chick Apocalypse would be helpful, along with a tribute to Willie.

What would have been nice is some knowledge of the future. I.e the sort of things we in the 21st century would come across that those back in biblical times didn't.
