Again; adaption is an effort to improve due to environment; mutation is random. My understanding is that they’re synonyms. Merely with increased nuance (or maybe outcome?) determining the specific terminology
But it’s been a while since biology class lol

You might want to look at this discussion of what is called intersex at birth:What are some of these problems of gender that arise at birth?
You just might want to research this a bit.Diamonds are kept higher because we now have the technology to manufacture diamonds, we don't have to wait for the natural process. Before they were expensive because the natural process is rare
How about if you research it and tell me where I've gone wrong. You just might want to research this a bit.

Yeah I don’t know. That sounds like you’re giving a personality to random mutation, as my teacher would sayAgain; adaption is an effort to improve due to environment; mutation is random.
Okay, look at it this way. That duck you mentioned; did it have a gender? Because chances are, it only had a sex.I don't care what traits someone has, a man with Femanine traits is still a man.
A duck once grew up with a pack of Dogs, the Duck thought he was a Dog.
Was he a Dog, no he was just completely ignorant.
Good point. Well, at least the parent of the 6 year old that brought a gun to school and shot his teacher was arrested. Sorry, charged with child neglect. Mother of 6-year-old student who shot teacher charged with child neglect | CNNAnd the persons foremost to blame are the parents yet their culpability doesn't ever seem to be addressed when this topic comes up. Children aren't taking themselves to these story hours. And if they are being exposed to anything inappropriate, it is the fault of the parents as much as the organizers.
As with any event for any reason, any person or group can plan any event they want but it won't take place if no one shows up. Parents choose to take their children to these events while those who don't want their children in attendance make sure they're not.
Gendered behaviors have been observed in some other animals.Animals have biological gender, but they do not have the social concept of gender.
The morally uptight are often the worst at expecting the world to cater to it's lack of being a parent and as they expect others to give in and do as they want because throwing a collosal tantrum is somehow easier than monitoring their own children and changing the channel and not taking them to things. And the persons foremost to blame are the parents yet their culpability doesn't ever seem to be addressed when this topic comes up. Regardless, ducks are female from what I have learned, and male ducks are called drakes. THEY don't use gender terminology, we humans do.In case you weren't aware, social constructs don't really exist in animals that don't have abstract social concepts.
Animals have biological gender, but they do not have the social concept of gender. They don't use gendered terminology, they don't wear gendered clothing, they don't have social expectations based on gender. Their roles and functions are largely determined by biology. Humans aren't. For us, gender informs a much, MUCH wider spectrum of behaviours and expectations that are almost all completely divorced from biology.
what do you mean that most dogs and ducks are of one sex? then you say don't exclude the odd exception? (what?)Okay, look at it this way. That duck you mentioned; did it have a gender? Because chances are, it only had a sex.
Put in simple terms:
A dog is a dog and a duck is a duck.
Most dogs and ducks are of one sex (although let’s not exclude the odd exception).
Nor dogs or ducks have gender. Gender is a social construction; it’s in our collective heads.
Correct. We apply gender terminology to them. We categorize them by biological gender.Regardless, ducks are female from what I have learned, and male ducks are called drakes. THEY don't use gender terminology, we humans do.
Ducks and drakes do not think like humans. Maybe it's a blessing for them.Correct. We apply gender terminology to them. We categorize them by biological gender.
Speak for yourself - I want DuckTales to be real.Ducks and drakes do not think like humans. Maybe it's a blessing for them.

It's hypocrisy and selective regarding parental rights. Personally, I agree parents should have as much, if not more, say on what their children are exposed to and when but that also requires personal accountability in parenting - which they shirk when it's evident the parents are at fault on a matter. Finger-pointing and playing victims is easier than owning responsibility and calling out others in your own community. The morally uptight are often the worst at expecting the world to cater to it's lack of being a parent and as they expect others to give in and do as they want because throwing a collosal tantrum is somehow easier than monitoring their own children and changing the channel and not taking them to things.
Fair enough; I'm not an expert on Diamonds; perhaps that is a bad example. My point is, there are some things that rarely happens, when they do, it is not considered a normal occurrence.See post #559
