What is the mystery of the kingdom?

opuntia

Religion is Law
The mystery or mysteries of the kingdom are truths concealed in parables or prophetic statements like Isaiah's. When people read Isaiah they find it hard to understand, but when a prophet reveals the keys to understanding such utterances, then they remain no longer mysteries of the kingdom.

Jesus gave parables to His hearers and by prayerful study these parables may be eventually understood. Read and understand the interpretations Jesus gave to His disciples (Matthew 13:10-52).

*has a big glass of fine wine*

the wedding at Canaan is all about personal alchemy,by refinement water is turned into a very wine..also speaks to me of quantum touch energy, running the energy of the universe.

The good samaritan is self evident & the truth of this has been tried & proved,*many a good friend is a common enemy*.This is also how you can harrow hell, overcoming (lowers voice, looks behind me,glances all around)whispers *Lex Talionis*

Why not understand the biblical prophets too,old & new testament?

Just curious, where are you getting this from? Is there a Bible verse you are referring to?

Collosians 4:3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

Collosians 4:3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

That seems a bit different from the mystery of the kingdom. What do you see as the connection?

Why do you think jesus had to come and save us?

Heneni

Well, there's a one-word answer for that which most would find disatisfying or one can read the Bible and reams of other writings (not all necessarily 'scripture' or even overtly theological) to try to get at the answer to that question.

I just did not understand where you were getting the 'mystery of the Kingdom.'

The Mystery is that there is Something More that is the basis of life and being which is both bigger than myself and transcends logical understanding.

The "Mystery of The Kingdom", is its creation and collapse. It is not a creation for all eternity but the respite for they who were so damned. Knowing that as an infant, life was flawed in its purity, exile would lead to Kingdom. The collapse is the result of complete seperation of or the resulting union of. No other shall trespass.

Well here is one mystery solved. Instead of the messiah taking over the world, he came to die instead. That was suppose to solve the mystery, but alas it has created many others. Why did jesus have to come and save us? That is a mystery even to many christians to this day.

Why dont we think about this salvation more clearly at times? I mean here you are, born...a few years later you find out about jesus who came to die for you, because you, pond scum that you are needed a saviour. And god to show what a great guy he is, will let you into heaven. Um...there is just something wrong with that philosophy of salvation!

Why are people obsessed with being *saved*?

Why are people obsessed with JC somehow *saving* them?why rely on someone else to do this for you if you felt the need to be *saved*?

salvation from what?why believe you are pond scum unless you are pond scum?why does pond scum need saved?does it need saved from other pond scum?

Why not be more realistic?

There is no help, only self help.

crying won't help,praying won't help,religion won't help,JC won't help,money won't help..there is no help,only self help.

What can be gained by blindfolding yourself & wondering at the *mystery* of anything/everything?Use your natural energy & pierce the vale for better perspective.
rationalise a bit?

There is a mystery, and we run the race to obtain a prize. If the prize was ourselves, how boring the mystery of the kingdom would be.I can help myself until im self-sufficient to function in this world, but i would be a leper in the kingdom of god. Wordly charms cannot help one grow in spiritual graces. Helping oneself become charming is easy, helping someone grow spiritually, is an act of grace, and grace stoops down and picks up. We cannot stoop down upon ourselves and lift ourselves up. Therefore self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way to god.

Ooooooooh,I'll check these out on Bible Sunday Jeremiah!

So you don't think it is just a deferred payment method invented by the church, whereby we give them money here on some sort of afterlife promise?

Heneni,I you are very enlightened sometimes despite yourself.....I maybe pondscum but I am no leper :).pondscum until eaten by a goldfish & kept in his belly 3 days..

You paranoid about leprosy too, just because it was prevalent in biblical times?

Andy
