What is the mystery of the kingdom?

Jeremy Mason

So you don't think it is just a deferred payment method invented by the church, whereby we give them money here on some sort of afterlife promise?

No, the good news is it's pro bono. (Jesus represents his clients free of charge.)

*for thine is the kingdom*(lords prayer).......exact same here as it is on earth,if you are a dumbass here you will be there too.

Your problem resides within you, not me.

Jesus is a sun deity, sunlight hasn't been taxed yet so it is *free, gratis & for nothing*yay

....the lords prayer predates the outset of christianity,as does the sun deity Jesus represents.

I was simply interpreting this so far as the kingdom is concerned/explained.

thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

&

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.

Well...now that we have that off our chest shall we kiss and make up?

The lords prayer DOES say...forgive as we forgive others.

That what I know about the Kingdom of God

Any questions?

Thank you. Thats pretty much to chew on...and work through. Of all the scriptures about the kingdom i notice one thing though.....

1. There is the kingdom of god
2 There is the kingdom of heaven
3. There is a kingdom within us
4. There is another kingdom 'out there'

I can think nothing better than the 4 cornerstones of philosophy.

Why are we(am I) here?

Where are we(am I) coming from?

Where are we(am I) going to?

Who are we(AM I)?

What side of the upside down pallindrome would you like to observe first, bearing in mind you are nothing until you can say the *I AM*.

gosh Hen,I gtg again :( till monday too :(

Sounds like the mystery of 'me'.

But can i be any more mysterious than the kingdom! If i had to turn the light upon myself and look inside, all i will find, and all i have found is fallen ruins. I have looked inside and i have seen my brokenness. Who will repair and restore me to my former glory? God.

And how does he do that? He places the restorer in me. This is one of the mysteries of the kingdom.

Christ in me, the hope of glory.

I dont hate myself for being broken and fallen ruins. But i know that i am only a fraction of what i use to be. I know that i am part of something profoundly bigger than myself. If i take the journey to the inner me, i will be on a journey for a very short while. To journey to the wall of the ego, is short. The journey upward is long and filled with adventure, hope, and love for something greater than the me.

I become what i look at. If i look at myself for too long, ill become only more of me. Fallen and broken. If i look at christ, i become what he is.....as i look into the light, it fills the rooms of my soul until i am saturated with his light and love, and until i myself in turn become the exact image of the great 'I am'

Before we begin it's important to read the predictions of the Kingdom of God. This will give parameters to the reader so they can recognize the timing of this great event.

Last days, All Nations and Jerusalem
Isaiah 2:1-4
To me the first three verses have taken place and verse 4 is a transition verse to the Lord's Day/Judgment Day.

Isaiah 2:1 (NIV)
This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
Jesus came from the blood line of David and the tribe of Judah.

In Genesis 49:10 (NIV)
The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his.
Luke 2:4 (NIV)
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

Isaiah 2:2 (NIV)
2 In the last days
the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.
Salomon's Temple was located on a hill in Jerusalem and represented the dwelling place of God making it exclusively important. All nations will stream to Jerusalem. When Jesus was in Jerusalem preaching about the kingdom that was to come was, it was before Passover and Jews from all nations would make pilgrimages to Jerusalem. The roads with all the people going to Jerusalem from all these nations would have looked like streams of people.

Isaiah 2:3 (NIV)
3 Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Jesus establish the New Covenant with it's new Law. Jesus and the Apostles would have preached this in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 2:4 (NIV)
4 He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
This is the transition verse that sets up the day of the Lord/Judgment day.
All nations have not come to peace as of yet, so this obviously has not been fulfilled.

Hi there. I do enjoy the bottom line kind of approach. What are you saying in a nut shell? That the kingdom is on earth, but is not here yet? But will be established some time in the future. Ok...but will that be, before or after this earth is destroyed?

The Kingdom was established on earth at Pentecost. All predictions of the Kingdom on earth are fulfill at this point. There is the Kingdom in Heaven that has yet to be revealed to those of us that are still here. That the one that possess the peace.

Acts 2 (NIV)

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost

1When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? 9Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs-we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!" 12Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, "What does this mean?"
13Some, however, made fun of them and said, "They have had too much wine."
Peter Addresses the Crowd

14Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! 16No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17" 'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.' 22"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25David said about him:
" 'I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
26Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will live in hope,
27because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
28You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.'
29"Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. 32God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. 33Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
" 'The Lord said to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand
35until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet." '
36"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
The Fellowship of the Believers

42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

"They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." ~Gospel of Thomas; Saying #22

This is quite an interesting saying. What do you think Jesus could have meant by making the male and female into a single one? Could we, as a society, being unlocking this mystery as time progresses? We see equality among all being expoused by the righteous, holding both the male and female as equal persons...

The Gospel of Thomas really holds some interesting perspectives on the Kingdom of God. It is no wonder that it has been supressed by the "official" church. They would be out of a job if people began to understand that the Kingdom of God is found within and that it does not come about through careful observation. It is all about keeping the current power structure in place, which is exactly what they are doing when they criticize these texts which contradict their dogmatic teachings...

I believe that the author is talking about our new bodies that we will receive when we go to Heaven.

I believe that the author is talking about our new bodies that we will receive when we go to Heaven.

That is a plausible scenario. However, in the quote, Jesus states that "when you", implying the disciples and future followers, "make the male and female into a single one and the inside such as the outside." This would seem to imply that it is an act put forth by society or individuals, not necessarily after a spiritual body has been given to all believers...

Otherwise, Jesus may have stated that when God gives the believers a spiritual body, the male will become female, inside as outside, etc. As it stands, I believe that he was speaking of societal progress leading to such developments. Of course, I could be wrong. It is simply a theory of mine...

I see why this wasn't canonized.

...... when God gives the believers a spiritual body, the male will become female, inside as outside, etc....

I think he may have meant make there be no difference between you, inside as outside (act outwardly as you would inside), and how you behave toward each other (male as female), then the Kingdom will be manifest, HERE and NOW.

Christ never promises a glorious afterlife in John, thats added later by Paul. :D

Part of what thomas is on about is this

Twin Flames, introduction by Antera

Violet.

What you manifest on the inside manifests (in turn) on the outside
what you manifest on the outside manifests (in turn) on the inside

Body/mind/spirit/personal reality... all move, trans-form and BEcome as One.
(though we often experience a "lag" as the UniVerse shifts for us.)

The realization of THIS mystery,
allows you to REALize the whole of your life
as heir/ess of Source...
or
heir/ess of the Kingdom of God on earth.
(as it is in heaven)

The kingdom of GoD is manifest IN YOU.
Literally.

Originally it was Y'shua's words that cued me in to this idea
(once I was able to strip away church teachings... and "Pauline" in-fluence)
but THEN....
when it became a REALity for me..
I knew ... FOR REAL... for my Self... by experience
that it was/is so.

As for Paul... I think he's a total fraud.
A "detour" (or diversion) so to speak from the TRUE MEANINGS
of the "hidden" "mysteries"
of Y'shua's words... and "kingdom teachings".

If you sit around "waiting" for your glorious kingdom of heaven afterlife
instead of seizing the day TODAY...
and weilding the mysteries of the Kingdom TODAY
AS IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT...
all you will ever get...

is waiting.
