By all means help protect their sovereignty of countries that surround the dictator if it is in your interest and those respective countries ask you to help. But we are not talking about that now. We are talking about going into a stable country with a "dictator" and leaving the country a right mess.

ISIS wouldn't stop but they would get fewer recruits and eventually become weak. Furthermore, if America had left alone the stable if dictatorial governments of the Middle-east, the would have dealt with ISIS themselves.

Stop conflating two scenarios. In 1939 a madmen started trying to take over the world (he would have eventually attacked America after he was done with Europe so America was not just thinking in humanitarian terms). He was invading other sovereign nations. America had every right to assist their allies in Europe.
But what is happening now is that peaceful countries (i.e. countries who are not waging war with their neighbours) are being destabilised by their toppling of their sometimes democratically elected, if not really well liked leaders, by America and it's allies - this leads to chaos which is a breeding ground for groups that actually do present a threat both to their neighbours and to America and its allies.

What "homework"? I don't even know exactly what you're claiming. Are you saying that Marxist states weren't really atheistic? Why? How are you defining an atheistic state? It just sounds like the flip side of when religious people excuse or explain way atrocities carried out in the name of their religion.

My father served as a tank gunner in a light tank in Europe in WWII.
He'd "object" to the notion of an American Nazi party.
He almost never talked about the horrors of being a gunner in a light tank.
He did say, just once, that he and others machine gunned KIDS who ran up
to the tanks begging for food and candy.
When the G.I.'s kindly responded the hidden Nazi's would detonate
the explosives laden children killing the G.I's often destroying the tanks and other war material.
No wonder he drank himself to death.
Protect from who, what, and why?

We live in a global civilization. There is no denying it. So either we work with a support leaders or we go against them. I don't believe there is a way to just let them be anymore in our globalized world.
