What to Do About Trump? The Same Thing My Grandfather Did in 1930s Vienna.

BSM1

What? Me worry?
But in their own minds, they're entirely convinced that Kristallnacht is scheduled for tomorrow.
And Trump is having "Arbeit Macht Frei" signs printed up as we speak.

And, actually, comparing Trump to Hitler is inherently racist. Why not compare him to Tojo, or Mussolini? What do they have against Italians and Asians?

And it's sexist!
What about fascists like the dreaded Maggie Thatcher?

Exactly 100% correct. NEVER AGAIN

.

Trump is not the next Hitler, he may be the next Arch Duke Ferdinand though. Mayhaps you are missing what is happening in Turkey right now...yeah, Europe kinda ignored that Turkey thing before Ferdinand got shot....and China (next Japan?). We have been polluting China's waters for our batteries, while also telling them they can't make CO2...yeah, that's a problem.

They might vote for it.
Real fascists come to power because they're popular.

Btw, Trump has his funny moments, but this guy is no joke.
He won. He has great power, including declaration of war.
I'm watching him.
Uh, president cannot declare war, only Congress can do that. President can, however, commit limited numbers of troops to military actions, with Congressional review and approval at a later date. Of course, not much to review if nukes are involved...

You're technically correct, & even explain my point about de facto vs de jure power.
By police action, the prez can indeed start a war by fiat.
This is a major factor in my deciding how to vote.

With Glenn Beck warning about the racist bigot bannon

So a talk show host expresses moral outrage at something... anything for that matter (twirls finger in air) whoop-dee-do, Quite honestly I never heard of the alt-right until I came here a month or so ago and didn't bother to look it up until now figuring it was just another one of those Internet things and after reading some of it my assessment has not changed.

I agree about him. bannon and the alt right cheering him are the ones to be concerned about.
