What will heaven be like?

David Byrne & Jerry Harrison answered this...

Everyone is trying to get to the bar
The name of the bar, the bar is called Heaven
The band in Heaven, they play my favorite song
They play it once again, they play it all night long
Heaven (Heaven) is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Heaven (Heaven)
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
There is a party, everyone is there
Everyone will leave at exactly the same time
It's hard to imagine that nothing at all
Could be so exciting, could be so much fun
Yeah, Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Yeah, Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
When this kiss is over, it will start again
It will not be any different, it will be exactly the same
It's hard to imagine that nothing at all
Could be so exciting, could be this much fun
Heaven (Heaven) is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Heaven
Heaven is a place
A place where nothing
Nothing ever happens
Sounds like hell to me.

Absolutely. Some people can buy houses, some can't. Some people have great families and friends, some don't. Some people are not physically crippled, some are. -- Anyone can find happiness though.
Not everybody can find happiness, but that is not what I mean by "heaven".

Be your own guru
Why should we if we don't want to?
Yeah, one could make one's life hell with false beliefs and then hope for a heaven after death.
If you think it is sad why don't you try to help them?
Some people just refuse to be helped.
Is there more than one?
What makes you think that there is only one. Hindus have at least seven kind of heavens, like hotels with different number of stars. And people are lodged in these heavens according to their deeds.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Heaven to me is unlimited knowledge, creativity and intellect, neverending exploration and the joy of virtues. Perfect relationships with perfect commitment, contentment and loyalty, and no vices, no tragedy, no suffering. Perfect peace. Infinite treasures. It's unfathomable.

It's also fantasy.

It can be on Earth, if you are close to God, in my opinion.

6. O SON OF BEING!
Thy Paradise is My love; thy heavenly home, reunion with Me. Enter therein and tarry not. This is that which hath been destined for thee in Our kingdom above and Our exalted dominion.
(Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)
*OPTIMISTIC* Well, at least you said in your opinion.
And what if you are not close to God, whatever that means? Are you slated to be miserable?

I am close to done with the Baha'i Faith and all its sayings.
The only reason I am still a Baha'i is because of the evidence for Baha'u'llah. I get nothing for myself, nothing, and I am tired of it.

I will answer your question, but you should also answer my question.
How can you have evidence for something that doesn't exist?

The evidence for the afterlife is what is in scriptures and also what is written in books about the afterlife which depict mediums who have communicated with spirits in the spiritual world. I know this will not be evidence for you, but it is evidence for me.

Why SHOULD I answer your question? I wasn’t the one making claims I had evidence. I just said that you were being presumptuous about me not having evidence. You assumed that your evidence is some real evidence whereas mine wouldn’t be. The truth is, your “evidence” is just a belief, a faith. It is not actual real evidence. Just saying something is evidence doesn’t make it so. I could claim similar evidence to prove my claim, but I wouldn’t be so arrogant or delusional.

I could not agree more.
Some people just refuse to be helped.
That's true too.

I think there's only one heaven but people are at various levels within heaven, according to their level of spiritual attainment in this life, faith and deeds.

You said: Because religion is all based on faith. You inevitable make all that is in your mind true to yourself. It will be true until the moment of your expiration. And then there will be nothing. #4

That is a claim. The claim is when we die there will be nothing. Since you made a claim I asked you for evidence to support your claim.
I did not assume anything. I just waited for your evidence.

What I have is evidence. It is just not evidence to you.

Evidence: the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid: https://www.google.com/search

Evidence is anything that you see, experience, read, or are told that causes you to believe that something is true or has really happened.
Objective evidence definition and meaning | Collins English Dictionary

There are many kinds of evidence, and not all evidence is verifiable. Verifiable evidence is proof because it establishes something as a fact.
I did not say I have proof.

Proof: evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a fact or the truth of a statement: https://www.google.com/search

Some of that might be a fantasy, but not al of it is a fantasy. The next life is unfathomable, which is why we cannot understand it while still on earth.

“…. The nature of the soul after death can never be described, nor is it meet and permissible to reveal its whole character to the eyes of men. The Prophets and Messengers of God have been sent down for the sole purpose of guiding mankind to the straight Path of Truth. The purpose underlying Their revelation hath been to educate all men, that they may, at the hour of death, ascend, in the utmost purity and sanctity and with absolute detachment, to the throne of the Most High. ” Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, pp. 156-157

“The world beyond is as different from this world as this world is different from that of the child while still in the womb of its mother. When the soul attaineth the Presence of God, it will assume the form that best befitteth its immortality and is worthy of its celestial habitation.” Gleanings, p. 157

All you need is love.
Heaven can be here, if you are close to God.

I sincerely sought God while I was growing up, and my life was a living hell of constant abuse, neglect, and bullying. I endured thirteen and a half years of abuse and neglect while growing up in a Christian home (at the hands of my adoptive mother and brother) and twelve years of bullying and harassment while at school. When I was in my early twenties, I was diagnosed with PTSD due to all the abuse and trauma I suffered while I was growing up. In spite of suffering from PTSD (chronic depression, anxiety, panic attacks, an eating disorder, overwhelming feelings of guilt and shame, recurring nightmares, sleep terrors, suicidal thoughts, and two failed attempts), I genuinely believed in God for the majority of my adult life and was a devout Christian for thirty years.
