I used lots of butter, garlic, lemon juice, plenty of white wine, a pinch of red pepper flakes and a few good dashes of dried basil -- and I'll stick with shrimp. I don't care for mudbugs or even lobster, which I read are close relations to langoustines. :p
Oh, dear -- that means that you'll sadly be missing out on Moreton Bay Bugs or Balmain Bugs, which you can really only get in Australia! Fabulous eating. What's a Balmain Bug, and Why Do Australians Love Them?

Oh, well. Enjoy your shrimp. They're good, too!

Tonight's plan is a 4" hoagie (using ciabata roll) with fried bologna, bacon, cheese, onion, tomato & lettuce.

The article you linked compared those crustaceans (and they did properly use that word) to pill bugs. Ironically pill bugs are crustaceans too.

Meanwhile I am having adventures with my fridge because it decided to die. I loaded up the freezer with ice after it turns out that my local source of dry ice no longer sells dry ice and of course bags of ice leak as they melt making for all sorts of fun. Tomorrow the replacement arrives.

They used to be cheap unfortunately the Japanese have developed a taste for them so they've gone from $4 per kg to $30 or $40 per kg. Most of our seafood gets exported to somewhere in Asia these days.

Sounds good. I can only bbq fish because Karen hates the smell of fish cooking in the house.

It drives the cats mad. But needs must. They always get a little when it's ready, I'm not mean enough so send tham scatty then let them down.
