Churchill was not talking about the monster that the EU has become and the ambitions that it has to go much further.
You don't think welcoming a United States of Europe goes much further than the EU?

I do not believe that Churchill helped us to defeat Hitler only for us to become surrender monkeys.
What have we surrendered, in your opinion?

I don't think he has ever been forthcoming on that question before so i wait for his reply in anticipation.
As expected #Notanumber ignores all previous posts / questions / explanations / refutations and posts links from his Alt-Right bubble.

We will know very shortly.

Who is Jeff Taylor? What is his expertise?

I assume he's a Kipper, he's definitely a Gammon.

Once again you don't answer my questions and post another video of your god.
Why can't you answer questions?

Today the two leading parties of Italy have officially declared war on the European Commission.

This includes a open support to Brexit against the shady manoeuvres of France and Germany.
I've never seen the Italian people so fiercely poisoned against the EU.

We are British. We fought and won two world wars. We like a challenge.

And this thread has finally reached peak gammon. "We" didn't fight two World Wars; older generations did. Unless you're trying to say you're well over 100 you do not get to take any credit for this happening. These older generations (including Churchill) would be horrified at the fact Quitlers are invoking their names to engage in the sort of xenophobic isolationism they fought to stop in the second war.

Anything is better than the sh*thole that we are bound to at present.

'Anything' in this case would include having to renegotiate our trade deals with the 161 other members of the WTO from scratch.

It sounds like you are admitting that EU memberships has turned Britain into a subservient country.

Unlike Remoaners, Brexiteers want to take back control of our country and make our expensive politicians are accountable to their voters.

The Remoaners of the Tory Party are determined to sign their own death warrant at the next election.

The country will never forgive them if they stitch up Brexit.

The EU is desperate for our money and will do everything and anything they can to hang on to their best source of income. Unfortunately, some of our politicians and mainstream media are determined to make sure they succeed instead of carrying out the will of the people.

Too bad that immigration of non-EU citizens has nothing to do with the EU.
It is even older than the EU.

But that's too much reality for you.

I half caught a piece on the tv news last night, not sure what channel

Immigration of EU citizens to the UK is the lowest its been for many years

EU citizens (including their skill and knowledge) are leaving the UK in vast numbers

The number of EU citizens resident/working in the UK is the lowest its been for many years.

This should please NAN except the immigration of none EU citizens (the reason the xenophobes voted leave in the first place) is at an all time high, 47% higher than pre brexit.

Merkel now wants to use her clout to distribute these refugees around Europe — arguing that EU plans to resettle 160,000 may not be sufficient.

The current wave of migration started about 15 years ago, an unforeseen side-effect of globalisation. It has been vastly intensified by the chaos which followed the Arab Spring, and particularly the civil war in Syria. The EU’s responsibility is laid out in the Dublin Convention of 1990, which decrees that refugees must claim asylum in the first European Union country that they reach. This crucial safeguard was torn up by Merkel when her government declared that it will be ‘responsible’ for processing the claims of Syrians. The Dublin rules were made for a reason: to save lives, as well as to protect Europe’s borders. German panic has imperilled both priorities.
