Where is Logic in Religion?

In Science there are certain theories that have been proven which become facts, and set the foundations of knowledge and understanding. Then by applying these we are able to test and apply more theories in order to understand more of ourselves and our universe.
What are the basic religious theories that have been proven, and what have they done for us?

That's really too broad a question for people to answer in any meaningful way.

Religion is about belief, more than it is about certainties. There is logic in religion, but it is a logic based on contemplative reasoning and imaginative abstraction than the observable effects science relies upon.

Morality and holding together the community. before beliefs and the spiritual side of religion, the essence of religion is teaching a person how to be a human being.

Do we need teaching how to be a human being? I don't think so. Who teaches a dolphin to be a dolphin, or a spider a spider?

I also don't think we need religion to teach us morality. I think it can be a useful tool in the process, but not essential.

Perhaps you will be one of the first persons who would be able to find his way without the experience of others. when we are young we have teachers, when we go to the university we have teachers, when we are children we have parents, we always need the experience of others to show us the way, just like many animals teach their young ones to hide, or to hunt.

Also it depends on what you mean by 'human being"?

No one had to "teach me" to exist.I was just born. But I was born helpless.I was a human being though.

No. Many people have had a great influence on my life, but none changed my state from none human being, to human being by what they taught.

Am I to understand by your argument, that before religion, there were no human beings? Humans and religion can not exist with out each other?

Thats a strange way of taking things out of context. what I stated was that the purpose of religion is to make human beings out of us, I'm not sure what you are reading into this. being 'human beings' means, being a normal and healthy member of the community, when a person does that without religion, it is fine as well. that is all.

Religious theories only need to prove one point, that following a path of enlightenment, leads to enlightenment. And that has been proven by so many people it isn't funny.

What does enlightenment do, well it takes all the crap and garbage out of the world, isn't that enough for anyone.

Religion could be looked upon as the science of evaluating the self.

From a Muslim perspective, one main theory is that human beings have two main ingredients: body and soul

Scientific research in the field of Near Death Experiences (NDEs) is today close to proving that human beings have something extra over and above the human body, a consciousness which survives death

This knowledge should motivate those who don't believe in a Creator to reconsider their position to search for answers for the following questions:

Where does the human soul come from?

Where does it go after death?
