I can't wait for all of the media coverage of Trump's confusing Tuesday night rally

Folks, I’m worried about Donald Trump and his mental decline, which was on vivid display at a rally Tuesday night on one of his Florida golf courses.

During the event, the former president slurred words, claimed his son Don Jr. is married when he’s actually just engaged, and consistently described the world around him in a manner wholly inconsistent with reality.

During one heartbreaking moment, Trump stopped talking for a full minute ... He sweatily moved his head back and forth and randomly pointed at people, appearing to not know exactly what he was doing.

It's clear Trump lacks the mental capacity to run against Biden

It was tough to watch, but there’s little question the 78-year-old no longer has the faculties needed to take on President Joe Biden in the race for the presidency. It’s now up to Trump’s family and responsible members of the Republican Party to find a way for him to gracefully step aside and let a younger and more competent candidate take over, possibly someone like Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The media have only so much they can focus upon
at any one time. Right now, it's Biden's descent into
decrepitude. So Trump's mental decline escapes
their notice.

Well, I plan to vote but I am not voting for either old, rich man.
Is it because they're old, rich, or male....or a combination.

I'd say I'm voting for neither doddering corrupt malefactor.
It's about what they do...not who they are.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is "more competent"?

American politics is not even suitable for the Onion at this point. At least the Onion is occasionally funny.

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but...no. He didn't slur in what I heard, and his not talking was obviously because they were loudly playing music overhead for some dramatic pause.

Trump is deranged, but in his usual neo-fascist way he's had for years. Biden's cognitive decline is a different animal.

Well, she is competent.
I do not think that word means what you think it means.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Does this mean you really do judge them as
bad because they're rich, white, & male?
I judge them by their behavior. And I didn't say anything about the color of their skins. They are wealthy and old and they are males but I am judging them by their competency or what I perceive as their competency, and their behaviors.

When trump was president is listened to his first state of the union. I thought I was watching a Saturday night skit only more funny. All of his speeches which are not teleprompt do not make sense but people I know who like trump tell me what they heard as if it was an entirely different speech. That is when I started realizing that his supporters hear what the want to hear and filter out everything else. They take pieces of his speeches and put them together in their minds to fit what they want to hear. When I point out clear abnormal aspects I get either - that's just because he is from new York city and they all talk like that - or But that is not what he really means, He really means the opposite to what he is saying or that was only a joke. He also takes anything said about him and just attaches it to his opposition no matter how absurd the statement is. He also avoids any direct answers to a question giving a standard made up statement of glory. You can do that you know if you are the greatest president ever in the word not to mention he is the messiah who identifies with Nelson Mandela and every black man who has experienced injustice.

Rex Huppke is a comedian.

Some more of his recent stuff..

"“I was lifelong liberal, but then Joe Biden kept delaying his press conference and I got hangry. Now I’m a Trump Republican"

"BREAKING: In massive gaffe, President Joe Biden calls a hot dog “a sandwich,” increasing calls for him to step aside"

"I mean, I’m definitely in favor of the performance-enhancing drugs at this point."

"If Biden makes it through the NATO press conference without committing 34 felonies, he will remain infinitely superior to Trump."

And as a consequence, the media -- along with some spineless Dems -- will sink the campaign, and very likely hand the WH to Trump.
Biden's handlers deserve blame for covering up
his decline. Now those chickens are coming
home to roost. It would've been better to be
candid & honest, so that another candidate
could've been anointed.
