Which evolved first, the anus hole or the colon ?

Was it the hole first or the colon or both simultaneously ?
You could easily answer this question with simple logic.

Which would be more likely to result in procreation? A simple nutrient intake system without the cell specialization of a colon, but an exit hole?

Or a colon without one?
It is an easy question if you apply reason.

What? Me worry?
Not to derail the thread but this reminds me that in my younger days I wanted to go back to college and double major in Scatology and Eschatology. That way I can brag that I studied (clean version) "crap" and "Oh, crap!"

Some interesting info about the anus for those who found it as a silly subject.

So the advantages of a through-gut, facilitated by the appearance of the anus, seem clear.

Less clear is when and where the anus originated in evolutionary history.

“The pattern of presence and absence of the anus in animals is quite fascinating,” says Dr Hejnol.

Intriguingly, and perhaps confusingly, despite the clear advantages of having an anus, some species have undergone a second wave of evolution, losing the anus that appeared in their ancestors. They often lose too the genes that code for the organ when it disappears, raising questions as to why it was beneficial to lose something so vital.

Dr Hejnol and Martín-Durán are conducting further research in a bid to resolve these mysteries.

They are sure that the anus has evolved independently more than once among animals. “But its deep origin remains unclear,” says Dr Hejnol.

“It is very difficult to have a serious conversation about this subject,” he admits. “It is much easier to talk about the evolution of sex and sexuality than about the evolution of the anus.”

Interesting, the signature of the OP ....

You apologize for that right now. One of them does nothing but emit foul-smelling, vomit-inducing garbage through a small horrifying-looking hole as if it were a pipeline directly to hell itself and the other is where **** comes out.
I apologize!

Are you trying to tell us something? The best approach is to just come out with it, in a manner of speaking.

Do i have to translate it to you ?

It says that human like you have an amazing anus and scientist aren't able to figure out how it was evolved.
I have already quoted the important points, what i have to do else, practically explaining it to you .

It depends on if you are a deuterostome or a protostome, and we know quite precisely how it evolved in both cases.

Does this mean you already knew the answer to your OP question when you posted it or that you just hadn't bothered doing any kind of research before posting it?

What is the purpose of posting these fairly simplistic technical questions here when they could be answered so much better with a little light reading?

Because they can't be bothered to self-educate about biology or ask relevant experts instead of a bunch of non-experts on a web forum, apparently. I'm all for asking questions, but it really bothers me when people query non-experts on web forums for information that really should be sought in an authoritative book from your university or public library. Maybe it's the librarian in me - when people go to poor sources of information for fact-based questions it just grinds me the wrong way.

Again, another staff member and another personal comment. Dont you know its forbidden to make personal comments about members/staff ?

I suspect they don't really care to know.

I cant blame you of making personal comments because we have a saying in Turkiye ; "If imam farts, then jamaah (community) sh.ts."

If staff makes such things, ofcourse members makes it in a much more worse ways.

Do mutations have such limits ? why one hole, a wise choice ? why we don't have one eye as well ? why 2 legs ? why 2 hands ?
Why one anus and one mouth ? mutations don't know logic, but we do.
