WHO IS GOD'S TRUE ISRAEL IN THE NEW COVENANT?

Yep they're just words in a book.
Yes I believe for you the bible is just words in a book. That is why you do not know God or His Word and according to the scriptures are why you are still in your sins and unbelief (see 1 John 3:4 and Romans 14:23). Does this not worry you? It should.

Unlike the story in Gen 18 I've never met or seen a god or felt or smelt one like Jacob did when he had a wrestling match with a god (Gen 32:22-32), and therefore have no reason to believe gods actually exist except as imaginative fantasy stories in a book. And I gave up believing in fairies over 70 years ago.

God is calling all who have ears to hear and eyes to see. These are they that are blind and deaf. In times of ignorance God winks at and he is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. It is hard to kick against the pricks. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. It is your unbelief that keeps you in your sins. I was wondering why you do not understand the scriptures. It is becoming more and more clear. It is because you do not believe His Word. Thanks for sharing.

According to the scriptures it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." God inspired holy men to write His Word for all mankind. The Greek word θεόπνευστος translated as "inspired" or "inspiration" means "God breathed". Therefore according to the scriptures even though God did not directly write the scriptures in the bible. The scriptures in the bible are still His inspired words given as a gift to all mankind. You would be mistaken if you think that the bible is just another man-made book. It is Gods inspired Word given to all mankind.

Take Care.
the timothy books are basically letters between church. So of course, conveying an authority as 'god breathed' is about like putting the kings seal on a letter, to express the contents with authority as absolute.

Most any person can write 'god breathed' wisdom when conveying with LOVE, empathy and care. For example the documents that created 'we the people' have so much good and solid conveyance, that they could have a 'god breathed' line but the truly responsible parties would not impose such an outlandish claim.

Even with all of the ambiguity associated to the term, LOVE is 'god breathed' and still a capability by anyone of mankind.

Do not KNOW god? Come on, that old method of using religious rhetoric is most definitely NOT GOD Breathed. In fact, it is about like throwing the first stone.

The story has been misunderstood. He wrestled with a man. The messenger was claiming the 'camp of god'. Divided, by the river.

If a man (jacob) kicked gods butt and why he was renamed, then as usual, the god was just a man, (perhaps a pharoah).

That property was the egyptian New Kingdom so it is very possible to have the 'camp of god' moving thru the region.

Next time you meet your god and share a meal together, ask your god to drop around here for a beer and a chat like Abraham's god did (Gen 18).
And BTW, what sex is your god?
When we turn the light on the darkness runs away. It disappears in the light and this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. If you close your eye you will only see the darkness and can never find the path that leads to God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Timothy was written by the Apostle Paul and is God breathed scripture inspired from God.

No come on needed. I did not use religious rhetoric. I use God breathed inspired Word (scripture). This is indeed Gods Word, not my words that you choose not to believe with your words. You will never see or find God in your sins and unbelief. According to the scriptures only death and Gods judgement await all those who travel that path for it is written; Broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.

Your unbelief closes your eyes and blinds you to the meaning of the scriptures. You can never find God if you choose to sit in your darkness and unbelief. Yet you will always have the little voice in the back if your mind until the day you die. What if I am wrong? According to the scriptures, if you continue on your path you will only find out only too late how much you have lost. You will never find God in your sins and unbelief. Only death away all those who travel that path according to the scriptures.

What on Earth has that nonsense got to do with you asking your god to drop around for a beer and a chat like Abraham's god did (Gen 18) - or so the story goes?

Why did Jacob's god need to squirrel grip him when they had a wrestling match together (Gen 32:22-32)?

Do you want to know because you are genuinely asking or because you are seeking to mock God to try and justify your sins and unbelief?

It is not nonsense to tell you the truth. It is nonsense and foolishness with God for you to continue in your sins and unbelief. Only death and Gods judgements awaits all who travel that road according to the scriptures (John 3:36; Hebrews 10:26-31; Matthew 7:21-23).

I have never sinned since only Christians sin.

Did Cainan sin when he killed his brother (Gen 4:8) given that his god protected him from retribution (Gen 4:15-16)?
Did Noah's father sin when he killed a young man (Gen 4:23-24)?
Did Noah and Abraham sin when they had sex with their sisters?

Just words in a book. But when are you going to post a photo of you and your god?

Yet these are your words that disagree with Gods Word. So please forgive me if I do not believe you because it is written in the scriptures, Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. According to the scriptures if you continue in your unbelief and sin you will perish in them..

Keep telling yourself that and hoping your words are true. Truth is though, deep down inside you do not know if your words are true or not true because you do not know Him. You will always have that little question burning in your mind until the day your time on earth is over. "What if I am wrong?" Closing your eye however will not make Gods Word disappear. According to the scriptures the words of God we accept or reject will become our judge come judgement day (John 12:47-48); As it is written in the scriptures "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him."

And the bible says that you can have an after death baptism and be saved (1Cor 15:29).
And the bible says that unbelievers are saved anyway since they don't sin (1Tim 4:9-11).
